I have noticed an increasing number of scratches on my lovely Red Mica paintwork - not noticeable to the untrained eye but I know they are there and it's bugging me!!
Can anyone recommend a good polish that "fills" as it polishes?? I usually use Auto Glym but this is not having the desired effect. I don't really want to use T-Cut either.
Thanks in advance
Steve

I note your concern regarding T-Cut but what I have done in the past is use a tiny amount of T-Cut and Autoglym together and depending on the depth of scratch it does the job quite nicely, without taking all the paint off. Failing which I have used just autoglym and polished the scratch out but it takes an age to do like this.
Hope this helps

Haven't tried Meguiars but I think I'll give it a try - thanks for the tip!
That should sort out the surface scratches but what about deeper scratches? Is there any easy way of disguising these?

I got HD-Clense and it don't even shift a tarspot without a fight, as for scratches forget it , might aswell go over the scratch with a feather duster for the good it does.
Nearly £20 for a tiny pot of stuff that does bu99er all. Rip-off if you ask me

if you can feel it with your finger nails then its going to take some getting out, if its just a slight surface scratch them it will or should come oout or look improved.
You might be best trying a machine polisher on it tbh if its bad.
Blackfire intensive polish is very good, nearly as good as a machine but you can use by hand with a german applicator pad.

Yeah done the finger nail test and they pass that so they're all just light scratches. Can't seem them until you get up close but they are so annoying. Will have a look at Blackfire intensive polish.

Why dont you guys by the Dr Colourchip paint restorer, it help get rid of stone chips ands scratches, in a few applications the scratch or chip will virtually be gone!!!!
Easyer and safer then using scracth remover or t-cut and rubbing away the allready thin paint thats applied to Subarus!

Got some Dr Colourchip and I can't get the paint to stay in the chips - I always manage to pull the paint backout when using the excess paint remover/sealant. Followed the instructions and seen great reviews and pics of the stuff but I'm finding it really hard to apply and seal. Been to the drcolourchips review post and followed everyone's advice and I still can't get it to work for love nor toffee!

I find Dr colorchip great for scratches and chips. The secret is not to work the thinners (or whatever it's called) in too hard. I also leave the bigger chips / scratches until last and use a cloth that is already covered in paint from the rest of the car which seems to prevent too much paint from being removed from the scratch.

For light scratches /swirl marks can be removed by having a paint correction detail using a machine polisher and a cutting compound, then after you use a final finish polish on a finishing pad, followed by a sealant/glaze and then a wax.
Using the chipsticks is a good quick fix but the problem will always be there.
Hope this helps.
