Make sure you have a new blade and an up to date tetanus
shot

Different but a bit too extreme for me. Does anyone know how much the replacement wedges cost from Subaru or other suppliers?

Cheers Brun - I know what I am going to be doing today

Just for reference, did you strip the orange paint off first or just paint over it?

How many coats of primer, etc and did you laquer them?

Cheers, Jon

Cos i'm a lazy git, all i did was wash the bugs off them, dry them out, and slap on some Hammerite silver. No rubbing down at all. They were taken off and painted and re-fitted in under half an hour.
If you get down on your hands and knees, you can see they're not perfect, but lets face it, who's gonna be bothered?

They were about £15, but i can't remember where from. They are available all over the place. TSL do a similar type of thing with a couple of variations.

James!

That is exactly what I want my front end to look like

Where did you get the fog lamp covers from and how much please? Did they come with the graphics?...Have you thought about going to the clear bulbs (which flash orange when on)?

Also, lets have a picture of the whole of the front of the car (don't ask for much do I )

Jon

Ps. I have already been to Halfords and bought a rattle can of clear laquer and one of Volvo silver

Hi Rustyfesta.

I got my covers from scoobyworld £65 inc v.a.t and the stickers from scoobyparts £7 i think something like that anyway, and also my indicators from scoobyworld, and yes i am going to change the bulbs to silver when i get a chance.

Here is the pic of the front end.

Sorry about the quality it's getting a bit dark here now.

James

Nice one James

My wedges are out, washed and have just had their first coat of silver. Just pausing for a cup of tea and then I will be giving them a second coat.

Hope to have them ready to go back on tonight but will not have pictures of finished job until daylight tomorrow

Cheers for encouragement, Jon
