Default P1 carbon spoiler

hi
The carbon fibre on my p1 spoiler has faded?
Can any one tell me how to sort this?
I've heard that it's usually just the laquer that fades and I should rub it back with a fine grade sand paper.
Any tips welcome

Hi Ned, yes you are correct. the carbon will be covered with an automotive clear coat ands its this that fades and discolours. just flat it back and remove the old clear coat then re lacquer

Thanks Paul.
What grade of sand paper would you use and is it a wet and dry job?
Should I take the carbon off the spoiler to do it?
Have you done it?

Ned
i would start at 1000 and move to 1500 then 2000. I have done it before as i own a carbon company and sometimes we do repairs and refurbs for people. Just be careful not to go too mad and go down to the cloth material of the carbon

Ok. Thanks for that.
Great to hear it from some one that knows.
Would you take it off the spoiler first?
Thanks Paul
