As title, how do you remove upper front grill on sti hatchback? Want to get it dipped or srayed.



Want to dip or spray the light grey upper part by the subaru badge.

 

I found it easier to remove the grill with the bumper off as the grill has tabs on the back the lock into the bumper (bottom of the grill)and found them hard to remove, the top is attached buy the clips you can see on the top

 

It is possible to get the grill off without removing the bumper, there are 4 screws holding the grill to the bumper and if you are careful you can get to these through the bottom opening. Using a mirror will allow you to see them. Also don't miss the 2 screws in the top corners by the headlights. Once you've got the screws out a gentle tug on the grill should see it come off, it has clips along the bottom edge so don't pull it from the top edge or you'll break them and be careful the clips don't catch the paint.
