Default Goodbye KP

Looks like Kevin has been dropped from all England cricket formats for good

Not disappointed, still feel he shouldn't have been brought back into the team, just disappointed that his undoubted talent has been coupled with the maturity of a 5 year old and the ego of Chris Eubank

Someone who couldn't keep his mouth shut and thought he was more important than the team. Not sad to see him go but his talent could have got him so much further than it did if he had behaved himself.

No one is indispensable & has been riding on his reputation far too long

A great talent but could always be relied upon to play some stupid shot and get himself out, refused to be coached and was a nightmare behind the scenes.

Thought he was crickets answer to Beckham, believed his own hype.

Agree with all of the above, although he will still be a miss to a team lacking in every aspect at the moment.

It still beggars belief that we got to the top of the cricketing world only for it to implode in a stupendous fashion so quickly, I hope lessons have been learned.

Yeah - after the Ashes series of 2011/12 there was talk of ten years of English dominance.
OK, I am sure most took that with a pinch of salt, but can there be any better example of the old adage - Pride comes before a fall.
Having said that, I attended all five days of the Adelaide test. 3 down for 2 runs after 3 overs with Punter out for a duck! Sweet memories for sure. I even have a photo of the last ball of the match in the last 2 feet of its flight, before it hits the stumps!

In the first photo, you can see the ball between the G and the O of Gold. I think the rabbit in the piece is Peter Siddle.

The second photo was taken moments after the finish, with the MOTM award yet to be announced.

Happier days indeed.

It was my mates camera - pretty good shots though.
Like I say, the memory of the first three overs was pretty special to say the least.
