Default Messi - unbelievable!!

Just watched the barca game and another two great finishes from Lionel once again. Takes his goals in a calendar year to 90!! 90, that is just crazy to even think about!Still so young and humble, what a player. Christiano Ronaldo needs to look in the mirror and see what it means to not only be good but humble, hard working and down to earth!

I edited your post a little, I could add more but I have work in the morning.

As good as Ronaldo is he is not half the man or person Messi is. you take Messi's goals from him your still left with a pretty decent person, you take Ronaldo's goals from him and your left with a spoiled good for nothing pr1ck.

i watched ronaldo last night for real as well and i think hes lost some pace, couldnt skin the defenders like he used to and he shoots so much, yes he has a hard shot but is too greedy and misses the target a lot. he might be better in the air but do you remember messi's header v man utd in champs league final? class header, my opinion is that ronaldo has too many off days and will never be as good as messi.

Interesting to know how many assists they both got this season - I would hazard a guess that Lionel has quite a few more. Messi just has magical feet and amazing strength for someone so small.

I still think he has to move to another club to show if he can do it outside of Barca.

Best thing about Messi for me is that he doesn't dive or go down easy.
Many premier league players could learn a lot from him.

I would love to see him in the Premiership but I doubt it will ever happen. The best part is that Ronaldo thought he was the worlds best heading over to Spain and has been completely overshadowed even with Real winning La Liga last year.

If you missed a few of the 90 check this out:

left foot, right foot, outside the box, chips, free kicks, penalties and even a header in there

Ronaldo is immense, but Messi is absolutely unreal.
Unlike Ronaldo, he doesn't need to stop the ball to trick the ball past someone, he can cover ground quickly without a ton of stepovers, the ball just sticks to his feet.
It's also obvious that he is a better goalscorer than Ronaldo, they've played similar amounts of games.

230 appearances for Barca and 194 goals. Watching those 90 goals it seems apparent that goal keepers facing him bearing down are just plain scared. Is he gonna nutmeg me, chip me or just shimmy past me. Has some excellent pace and movement off the ball. And two great feet.

Anyone that picks Ronaldo over Messi is either Portuguese, a Madrid, or Manu fan. Fact.

I'm a Utd fan and pick Messi everytime

He is the best of this generation for sure. But I think to topple Pele or Maradona he HAS to win the World Cup with Argentina. I remember reading about Maradona almost winning it single handedly for Argentina in 1986 and doing the same when he moved to Napoli.

yeah but maradona was a drugs cheat. I know so many people say he has to win a world cup but individual talent he is the best ever. He cant help it if argentina are under achievers who cant defend. But i agree it would help just to prove to people he isnt just a barca legend but an all round great player

WTF?!?!

It gives Ronaldo more Physicality than Messi?

Ronaldo, Strenghth of an Ox?

Messi, Lacks Physical prowess?

Ronaldo the dumplin who falls over screaming and dying everytime the opposition looks at him vs Messi the bloke you could run over with a ******* steam roller and he would get up and laugh in your face.

Who the **** wrote that Ronaldo himself?

I would agree. Yes Ronaldo falls over but its still clear to see he is very physically strong and fast which makes the diving all the more annoying.

Last year would have been a better comparison as Real have struggled this season in La Liga even as champions.
