The 2012-2013 Tottenham Hotspur Thread
So...... not long now. What do you Spurs and non Spurs fans think of the new signings. Andre Villas Boas???? What do you think?
Personally going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. Quite like the new signings, and think they will strengthen the squad.
Can't wait for Modric to go! Don't rate him that much as he is to inconsistent.

My Dad was a Spurs fan, so I have a soft spot for them 
There used to be a few Spurs fans in here, hopefully you'll entice them back with this thread.
I'm interested to see how the manager does, I dont this he's a bad manager and it may well be a good move getting AVB in, at least he wont have the problems he had at Chelsea with staff and their attitudes.
Sell Modric to RM and get the money, as good as he is he is nowhere near the £40m Spurs want for him.

Chelsea are to up there own *****. I think AVB will do much better with Spurs. Sigursson and Vertonghen (spelling) are the new signings. Really rated Sigurdsson last season, and had him in my dream team (Facebook).
Anyone else do the Fantasy Football on there? Maybe we should set up a Scoobynet league?

Ive only just noticed this spurs thread where has every 1 gone ? No real spurs fans would let the thread drop to the bottom of the page !!
Let's get this thread up and running properly
Right Wigan today .. After our horror show with norwich midweek I'd like to think we have the minerals to beat a team like Wigan. We seem to be just scraping the results in the league ATM we have flopped in the capital 1 cup and don't seem to be getting results in Europe
in all if things start to go belly up in the league I think avb could come under some real pressure ESP if u look at the games we have coming up this month ! I want avb to well and sitting currently in the top 4 is a good start for him I just really hope this continues and we start to get some consistency.
On another note ..... Why the hell is ady not playing he is a quality striker !! I no he can get abit moody but really wtf he is a class apart from Defoe I just don't get avb on this 1 ...

I'll probably get shot down, but personally I think that while Adebayor is off being lazy with Togo and if we don't bring any permanent strikers in, then we should re-sign Robbie Keane for a month. Even if its cover to sit on the bench, while he trains as well...

Defoe has lost the form he had earlier in the season, Adebayor has got only 1 or 2 goals all season and hasn't been half the player he was last season, but thats down to him having a secure contract on good money - we should have been prepared for this to happen, it has everywhere else he's gone and if he was any good Arsenal and Man City wouldn't have both let him go (and Real Madrid not take up the option to make his loan move permanent).
The recent media story linking us to Gary Hooper could be good, a Spurs youth product (who we let go) who has worked his way up from the bottom and is British, at somewhere around £8million I don't think he'd be a bad option as he's strong, can hold the ball up and strike a ball really well. Un-proven in the premiership, but then so are all these foreign players who would demand much, much more in wages than a player signing from Celtic!
