England squad
There was a real chance here to break away from the past and build. But no. How on earth has Carroll got in there?! Even Defoe is a poor choice. Downing??
Great to see some young talent like Oxlade-Chamberlain.
But the omens are not good.

I'm a bit gutted that Jones was selected ahead of Richards, and very shocked that Downing is in.
I'm also not a big fan of Terry. It's a case of either/or though I think with him & Wio. I can see why I suppose.

Richards is a good shout. Terry, a leader of men, no doubt . . . a bit of a liability though and getting on. Why not blood some more young lads and think long-term?
Why worry you have won the 2012 euro championship..........feek thought I was a english pudit there.
. Love the way before a ball has been kicked, they have worked out who England will face in the final.
As for Scotland we are sh!te and we know we are.

Roy can do what he wants through the Euros and still keep his job for the next World Cup, so it begs the question, why is he obviously going for a bunch of old farts who we have tried and tested throughout the best part of the last 10-12 and failed miserably? He'd be better off selecting a load of youngsters and people who are playing on form (Grant Holt - who I hate incidently over someone like Carrol etc) Least he shows he would be bringing in fresh ideas with a view to build over the next few years for future tournaments. Not many people could argue with that.
