England Euros
What a good start and complete contrast to the World Cup performances. That would have been a pressure game for them tonight as a team as well so hopefully they will go on from this and continue to improve.
Defoe's finishing was just what we need, clinical. Rooney was playing provider and think he had a good game although I doubt his haters on here will agree.
Lets hope Tuesday ends in the same way, with promise.
Oh and forgot to say Hart was superb in goal, at last a keeper who can take the no1 jersey and keep it for years to come.

a small step in the right direction, only one game though; now we'll see if fabio has the ball$ to make the sweeping changes he said he was going to make in the first place........

You still don't get it do you?So you leave out Lampard and now England are now World beater's
Explain why he has scored 20+ goals per season for the past 5 years for Chelsea but can't find the same form for England.

Richie no problem and I don't take it seriously in here as it's all a laugh here. I'm not blaming Lampard for one minute for England's performances but what i've always said is he can't play in the same team as Gerrard as they just don't go together and Gerrard is more successfull in the role for England than Lampard is. So when Cappello insisted on playing both all the time it was frustrating because Lampard can't do for England what he does for Chelsea, certainly whilst Gerrard is next to him.
It was refreshing to see new young faces in instead of the old lot who are long due a clear out, such as Terry and Lampard,, James, wright-phillips, Heskey etc (and nothing to do with any of them being Chelsea players and all to do with their lack of performances for England).
Of the old team there was only Cole, Gerrard and Rooney who still deserve their places and it showed last night with a dramatically improved performance over what happened in South Africa.
Tuesday night will be the key to see if it was a one off or they will give the same performance and show to be moving forward.

Unfortunately, Fabio made his bed with the JT affair and we need Rooney far more than we needed JT. It's also unfortunate that i bet half the England team are up to the same, at least it wasn't his mates wife
Rooney is a prize pillock and it wouldn't suprise me if he's left out of the United squad to face Everton at Goodison at the weekend.
I read a funny little comment on the bottom of a online article, saying if footballers weren't so stupid they would have bought their own brothel by now and kept it all in house! well i say funny i suppose it's true.
