Still buzzing from yesterday and my throat is killing Scun-thorpe should be worried, if Billy Sharp goes this month then can see the wheels falling off. Do you know if you plan on selling or not Al?

Selling? Us ? You jest, surely, when have WE ever sold our good players? Oh yes, I forget, Thomas, Clemence, Keegan, Cassidy, yawn..........every one we've ever had.
Yep, it'll be a matter of time, When, rather than if.
Last month, three articles in the local rag:
"We won't sell, says chairman". Then, two days later,
"Iron £1.3 million in the red". then two days later,
"Not unless someone offers £2 million, says chairman".
I can see it now, same as ever. Some bigger club with more money comes in, either from the division WE are trying to get into, or even from the same division as us, but a bigger club. Suddenly, all the "we won't sell, we don't need the money, we have ambition" is replaced by "we can't stand in the lad's way, he's going on to better things" and the money? If we get £2 million, we'll be lucky to see £200,000 spent on ANY players
Personally, I wouldn't put it past Lawsy to come in for Sharp AND Keogh as a pair, having already agreed with Wednesday that money would be available for them, and that agreement made even before he agreed to leave us call me a cynic if you will.
As for Marcus williams, yep, watch out for him going to a prem side before long, and probably Joe Murphy too.
As for us..........well, next season, if we do sell, league two beckons again

THEN they were both mystified when there was wholesale violence before and after the game, and LOADS of fans boycotted the game and just went for a ruck. Are they THICK or what? And NO I don't mean the fans
Alcazar
BTW: did you know that Oldham's ground is the highest (altitude) league ground in the country? Of course you did. You're coming to Glanny, then?

Aye I do believe he will go this Jan, hes out of contract in the summer though isnt he? Cant see someone stumping up £2m for him though.
Cardiff fans are known for their trouble causing, one of the worse 92 clubs out there IMO.
Wrong, we are 3rd highest above sea level behind West Brom and Port Vale Although its definately the coldest ground in the country I'll definately vouch for that one
I dont mind scun-thorpe and dont want to see them have a bad season but I was gutted yesterday when you got that point otherwise we could have gone top...lol
And yes, I'll be and Gladford presuming I can get a ticket (PITA as Im not a season ticket holder at Latics. Guess who our next game is after you, Brizzle City, typical, talk about doing it the hard way... Saying that though, 5-0 against Forest wasnt exactly hard...lol

No its all ticket for the away fans but they dont go on general sale til saturday IIRC although I have a couple of lads going to BP on saturday to see if they can get me 2.
Trust me I cant keep quiet at the football, put me in the home end and I might be in a spot of bother

Well, there you are, top at least until Monday night. We now HAVE to beat Brizzle if we are to maintain our push. If they win, we don't move YET, but they would have same points and a game in hand. And Forest would hbe TWO points behind with a game in hand: potential disaster. We drew FAR too many games in January.
Still plenty of games to go.
I can already hear the comments re: selling Keogh, if we lose though

I know, shows where the real football lies
Al, Im not writing anyone in this league off although on our day we have nobody to fear so no harm being positive
Although we might have a prob now we are missing our star midfielder Ritchie Wellens.

OMIGOD, do they WANT promotion, or not????
09:45 - 05 February 2007 Marcus Williams and David Mulligan will not be in the Scun thorpe United squad to face promotion rivals Bristol City at Glanford Park tonight (7.45pm) after the pair breached club discipline.
