Cool Manchester United 'v' Benfica

Awesome goal. Ronaldo is having a brilliant match too. I can see Rooney going off shortly.

unfortunatly i,m still tryin to catch up on my soprano,s dvd,s so i missed this game i,m halfway through series 5 so i,m nearly there

If we'd have been playing a stronger side, we'd have been at least two down by half time. Second half was much better, but Rooney's still off the pace, Carrick is still adapting and Scholes isn't as influential in Europe as he once was.

On the plus side, Ronaldo and Saha were on top form again and it's good to see both Heinze and Smudge back.

We certainly need to improve in Europe, so I'm hopeful of a promising performance against Copenhagen at home.

Because in the olden days being a smith was a dirty job, and they all ended up with smudges of muck up their faces.
