Ohh yes thats right he wasnt there and we played like an English club. Quicker more smoother football. was nice to see, although Greece were shocking it was just nice to see us moving around quicker than you'd expect from an Italian team like Sven wanted from us.

Second half, the commentators were saying Greece had changed the game with thier 4 subs, IMO the greek defence looked a little better with Zakorakis(?) coming on in the centre. But generally I think McLaren would have said I want you to sit back now and let them come at you, I want to see how good we're going to be defending the greek attack, then see how he'd go about changing it with his subs. I must say he did well. bringing Lennon and Richardson on strengthening the midfield did push greece further away from any danger.

Overall I was pretty impressed, shame its going to be a while before we get a proper test but it will give the team chance to get used to playing at an higher tempo together without people like Becks slowing us down.

p.s. thought Downing did well for us too.
