Default S*** again

Let's not kid ourselves with any 'back to the walls' bollocks, we didn't lose in a pulsating 4-3 thriller, we played for penalties - even though our players couldn't take a decent one between them. Lampard was **** throughout the tournament, Beckham cried like a girl - maybe he knows McLaren will give him the **** off - , Rooney got sent off - again, and our attack was a skinny freak. The only decent attacking player looked like Lennon. So you sub him and put on Jamie Carrager. Urrrrhh *pulls spaz face*, Erikkson is ****, he's rode the back of that 5-1 win over germany for 5 years, he can't even pick three fit and experienced strikers, his teams are dull as **** to watch, and he's happy to pick the same old players because it's less hassle than scouting out some btter ones. To end on a high note after realising all this, it might actually be better under McLaren. Not much, but it might. It can't be worse.

Agree

Erikkson = ****. Good riddence. We had good players but a very poor team.
Lennon looked good for the few mins he was on. Beckham under performed. The skinny freak kept tripping over the ball. etc etc. Very poor team selection and tactics. Engalnd will be better off with out him

Gary Neville (I hate the ****) was the best player on the pitch by far. If the rest of the team had put in 60% of his effort we'd have won easily.

Hargreaves was 2nd and our so called stars were toilet.

No strikers will only make you lose.

God knows why he picked Gerrard to take a penalty-he hadn't kicked a ball on target all afternoon.

£100k a week and can't take a decent penalty??

Carragher's was unlucky though... why did he have to take it again?? Because the keeper wasn't ready - looked ready enough to me!

I don't know what game you were watching, but Crouch was awesome. I lost count of how many ***** were humped up front, and he got them down, held the play up, and waited for support. I can tell you it was more than Rooney, who did it exactly zero times. To be fair, thats not his game is it.
Eriksson has wasted 5 years, and the best crop of players we had in a generation.
As of for the pen takers, leave it out. Some of the keyboard heros on here would leave steaming piles crap on the green grass, put in the same position. How many people here have done a pen shoot-out? I have, 23 years ago, aged 15, infront of 15,000. We drew 2-2 after extra time against Paris St German, it went to pens, we won. But I can tell you, that situation is nothing about football. Its 50% having the bottle to step up. And 50% luck.

Bottle is required but the huge payment is for that. As for 50% luck, well, they are so-called skilled footballers, who should find it part of their job requirements, so it is all about football.

Ex penalty taker.

if you employ a man for a specific purpose, and thats all he does, that makes him a specialist. If you employ 11 men who can perform the same purpose, that makes them specialists too. if they take good money from you to do that, you would expect a good return, or at least some return for that money...

I recall a certain player who,s sole task was to put a ball between two posts, he trained for it, and thats near as dam all he did. when put on the spot, he performed his task and did as he payed to do. we won the world cup !!!!!

now take the 11 who played today. if i was putting a team together, (god forbid) i,d make damm sure that they could score penaltys.

sge?? not his best day was it..

I'm sorry, but I work 43 hours a week, and I'm quite good at my job, not world class, but quite good. If I was world class however, and being paid a ridiculous amount of money to do it, I'd at least have the decency to have some fitness, stamina, skill and guts to get stuck in on the world stage. Only Lennon and Hargreaves did anything for me tonight, the rest, well, the tears at the end say it all, bunch of losers!
And Carragher, how many games has he played? You wait for the ref to blow the whistle before you kick the ball tosser!

How much did these "players" get for turning up for this competition anyway?

Rooney? Overated, overpaid, overweight and a petulant childs behaviour in a world class game.

Thank god that's all over, I can stop talking about football now

Tour de France started today as well, now they are true athletes.

Have to say that of all of the England games that I watched, none were worth watching. The side seems to be (a)over-rated (b)over-paid and (c) over.

The France-Brazil game was much more of a thriller even though France have been crap thus far but at least they rose to the occasion which is more than I can say for a lack-lustre English team.

Thank **** I'm Irish and never have these issues to worry about
