So who stayed up and watched it??
Cracking bout, Calzaghe was awesome and taught Lacy a bit of a lesson.
It's repeated this morning. If you can, try and watch it

i managed it, Calzaghe was brilliant, didnt let up one bit, out punched Lacey every round. Lacey was no push over though, after the 8th i thought he was going down, i dont know how he managed it but he stayed up. I was standing shouting by the 9th, wish he had put him down and out, never the less, top fight.
going back to bed now

Set up sky+ at about 23:20 last night and went to bed happy that I could wake up and watch the whole fight before getting to work at 10:00.
Watched the whole fight till approx 90 seconds left in the final round and then Sky+ box says " The programme you have recorded has finished, push back-up etc etc "
Couldn't beleive it.
Wouldn't have anything to do with Sky not getting the fight would it?

I stayed up and watched - best fight I've seen in a long time. Calzaghe is a seriously good boxer - absolutely tore a much strong Lacey apart - standing toe to toe Calzaghe still taught him a lesson. Lacey just didn't have an answer for his south paw style and speed. That Lacey can take his punches (what a mess at the end) but I certainly enjoyed seeing him put in his place after so much pre-fight attitude. Going to take Lacey a long time to recover from that beating. Pound for pound I'd agree Calzaghe is in the top 5 in the world and I hope to see a lot more from him.

superb!
Truly out classed Lacy...
I bet he will have the mother of all headaches today... amazed he got out the ring vertical tbh.
Glad it didn't turn into a eubank/watson finale.
Joe was amazing.
Lokk forward to his next fight.
Lacy?
Who?

One of the best fights I've ever seen. Joe just put on the best boxing display I've ever seen. Just totally out classed the bum.
At the start of the fight I was sure Lacey was going to win, just because of the size of him compared to Joe. After the first minute of the first round, I'd changed my mind. Although I did want Joe to win in any case.

I stayed up to watch this as a big boxing fan I really wanted Joe to do a number on this guy and show the world his class and oh my god did he. He made Lacey look like an amateur real class from first to last round and his workrate, body movements, speed and variety of shots was superb.
All I want now if for Lamon Brewster to be given a proper shot at a proper heavyweight title and I'll be happy.

Best pound for pound in the UK and definitely top five in the world.
Real shame he hasn't broken the American market but hopefully, after this last fight, he will get his well earned pay days.
It was a fantastic lesson he gave and really Lacy should be slapping his corner men up for leaving him in there so long knowing he was not going to be able to knock Calzaghe out.

Great fight,
Great boxer.
I've always been a fan. I'd love the US paying public to see what a good fighter he is, and I have been saying so for a good while.
Just a shame the ref didn't do his job in an effective manner and save Lacy from it. IMHO, there was no need to carry on much past the 9th (I recall at the end of the eighth, Lacy asked which round it was. He hadn't just forgotten!) and especially after the 11th both the ref and his corner should have had more sense.
Also, I did see a particular celebrity chef shouting his usual profanities from the third row. ..
Still,
Great fight.

COmpared to the mess of Skelton vs Danny Williams, Joe looked like pure class...
one or two slip ups will stop it from being remembered as one of the greatest fights of post war times.
