1. there are 1 or 2 injuries if you didn't notice
2. he scores in nearly every game for the reserves

of course he will never make the position his but when your up the creek without a paddle..........

Shut it Charlie

True football fans get behind all British teams in Europe and I find it rather sad that the bigoted Man U fans only support Man U.

Very pathetic and very childish IMO. but ho hum...

Luis Garcia for at least 3-4 weeks and Josemi had 20 stitches in a bad head wound

Bad refereeing is costing us badly lately... perfectly good goals being disallowed too, like against Boro...

Didier Deschamps admitted his side enjoyed a taste of fortune against Liverpool last night. Deschamps' Monaco side stole the points thanks to Javier Saviola's second half strike, although the goal should have been disallowed after the Argentinian striker controlled the ball with his hand to create the shooting chance.

"I have now seen the incident on TV and yes, it was handball," said Deschamps. "I could not see the hand ball at the time from where I was sitting, but I was very aware that the Liverpool bench were protesting. But the referee did not see it their way which was good fortune for us."

Edited to say: Mellor isn't good enough, there again neither is Pongolle IMO

Jesus... this gets worse! WTF?

Sami Hyypia was left fuming by the revelation from Danish referee Claus Bo Larsen that he saw the handball which led to Monaco's winning goal last night. Javier Saviola clearly controlled the ball with his right arm before smashing the game's only goal past Chris Kirkland ten minutes into the second half.

"It's very sad for us to lose a game like that," he said. "I don't know where the game is going because the ref told me he saw the handball. It was clearly a handball and he did nothing about it.

"If he said he didn't see it then fair enough, you can't see everything, but he saw it and so it is disappointing to lose."

Its a joke, the ref admitted he saw it to the players at the time, as did the linesman . . . so why the **** didn't he disallow it ?

I agree Pongolle isn't really first team material, but he's the best of what we have left IMO !

Anyone know when is Antonio Nunez going to be fit again ? We need all the help we can get

LOL - just shows how much you actually know about me Charlie I support every British team competing in Europe, like I do Scotland, Ireland and Wales against the rest of the world.

Guess it's true what they say then about Man U fans being 'glory hunters' and having tunnel vision.

Predictable as ever Charlie

Naturally
If you see them as that.. fine You started it, so I am quite willing to continue as long as you keep on with your little jibes...

The thread was about Liverpool and their injures until you butted in, with you were glad they had lost. So if you give it large Charlie, expect it back

Is that the way you see it Charlie? Shame, as I saw it only as harmless banter - oh well never mind, from now on I will take your posts seriously then, as they are intended to be.

He starts for the reserves tonight Dunk against Leeds. Barring another injury, he will need two more weeks work to be fit enough for the first team apparently.

as a gooner I want all other english teams to royally screw up in Europe. I can only think of one reason why I might want them to succeed, and that's so that we can beat them in the next round...

Out of all my mates that are season ticket holders this is the standard view...

I like them to do well as long as its not against us, in same group etc. But if they lose we still take the **** - part and parcel of football.

Simon.
