Does anyone here follow the football on the BBC site? They've got a section called "Funny Old Game" which focuses on the funnier side of sport.

I'm looking for a link to a particular article that I read on there a few months back.

There was an article several months ago which was all about an unbelievably rigged football match (I think it was in India). It was some kind of title/cup match and they needed to finish with a higher scoreline than another match that was being played at the same time - the score got up to something like 56-45 and ended up with most of the players just wandering around as the other match got wind of the scores and began to compete with each other...

Like I said - a bit random, but make me LMAO when I read it a few months ago.

 

Afraid i can't help you other than I remember reading the article, and I'm sure you are right it was on the BBC site and concerned a game in India.
