Default Champions League??? My Ar$e

Can't beat Wolves at home, miss from 12 yards, do we actually deserve to get 4th place??

Don't think it really matters now, 2 massive wins needed. Southampton away, where we haven't won in the league since 1972, and Liverpool where we never get **** all.

As has been said in a different thread, 1st division players and free transfers don't inspire confidence. Also, (and I know I'm like a stuck record on the following point, but it really boils me up), having endless faith in players such as Viana, Hughes, Ambrose and to a (slightly) lesser extent, Bramble (been playing ok recently, but was dump earlier in the season) and Robert (he hasn't played well for months now) and Jenas (living on last year's hype), has cost us dear. You can mention injuries, but all other teams get injuries, and they've got to cope just the same.

I honestly think if we don't get 4th, which is highly likely, Robson might call it a day. Also, Fat Freddy needs to get the cheque book out to buy some decent right sided (defence and midlfield) players, and he's going to have to do well to attract them without the lure of the Champions League. A defensive midfielder is a must, why we didn't go for Nicky Butt in January amazed me, and has definitely cost us, Speed is ok, but Father Time is catching him, and he should have been replaced in the last transfer window.

Fat Freddy doesn't want to see a situation like Leeds happening at the Toon, but unless he spends some dough, mid table is the best we can hope for next season, as other teams have come on stronger this year, Villa, Charlton, Birmingham, even Bolton were level on points with us this morning (!!!!!), whereas we've gone backwards from last season.

I'm totally fed up, and our lass is frightened to speak at the minute, in case I bite her head off.

Andy.

May I take this opportunity and say a big thank you to Wolves

Even if you win at Soton on Wednesday, Liverpool will only need to draw on Saturday to get the CL place

Looking good

Hey Redkop - I remember (I'm old) a certain match on the last day of the season where Liverpool only needed to not get beat by more than one at Anfield - and they didn't manage .

It aint over til it's over - And Liverpool have a track record of bottling it at the last .

Up the ****

Champions League! You're having a laugh!

Mind you, I was absolutely disgusted with so called fans booing Robert.
His performances having been well below par and everybody knows what he is cabale of so there was no need
Yes we will probably not get 4th, but I for one will always support the team no matter what and no matter how frustrating the situation.

Ahh the memories - Let's (neutrals) hope that Newcastle beat Soton - at least that will make for some real excitement on the last day .

Michael God Thomas - Is that the missing bit ???

Default Old but funny ;)

Three old football fans are sitting in church when God appears and grants them one question each........

The Scouse asks" When will the Pool win the European Cup"?
God replys" Not this season coming but the next"
The Scouse says" I"ll be dead by then"!

The Mackem asks"When will Sunderland get back into the Premiership"?
God replys" Within the next 10 years"
The Mackem croaks" But I'll be dead by then"!

The Geordie asks" When will Newcastle win the Premiership"?
God waits then replys" I'll be dead by then!!"

Come on you REDS

Mike, the main thing is the 3 games in less than a week before playing L'pool which will N'Castles weak link, whereas L'pool will fresher and after Saturday's great game against B'ham, the reds will have all the confidence in the world to want to emulate that performance

Aye - you'd better hope that Soton do you a favour - lets face it if they dont then I can see Shearer getting a 93rd minute disputed penalty against the 'Pool

Typical - you always need to blame someone else - 'Pool supporters - all the same .

Whenever I think about Liverpool I always get a picture of Robbie Fowler diving then getting up and telling the ref that it was a dive (just before scoring the Penalty ) - Then I think of the KING and all is well

I feel sick
