Question

Just been reading reports of the England fans returning from Turkey being angry at being turned back.

Leaving aside the issue of whether or not English fans should have been allowed to go to the game or not why are they so angry at being sent back? They were told by the FA and all the authorities not to travel to Turkey yet they still travelled. Then they get upset when they are sent home - doh!!!.

I can understand them being upset at not being allowed to go, but why travel when they know they aren't going to be allowed into the game?

Just makes me glad I'm not a football fan.

tiggers.

What is the world coming to???

The news reports that i am reading say that English "people" are being refused entry to Turkey - not hooligans, or people with a known (football) criminal record - just English people. Totally crazy

Then you have to wonder why a football match is being held in the first place if fans (you know, the people who pay the extortionate wages for a bunch of big headed "intellectuals" to kick a bag of wind around a patch of grass) can't actually attend.

Then we hear that the locals, after being told that they must wear red, are now having their mobile phones confiscated in case they throw them onto the pitch (yeh, like they will chuck away an expensive gadget that can be directly associated with them).

You couldn't make it up

Surely Cherie Blair (Booth) and her human rights cronies will be out there asap if they have been refused entry for being English. Or maybe she will be too busy with Lesbians, Asylum seekers etc etc ad infinitum....

Ok Pete

The Police did not filter passenger flying to Istanbul in the last few days. No real interest..."have you been before?? why are you going??? checking luggage for football shirts etc...

But my comment was a poke at all the promises tony has made and never kept.
