What a crock of **** England are! [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] They don't deserve to qualify, any decent European team will tear shreds out of the defence, what there is of it and as for going forward, they have about as much flair as a dead badger 
The team just gets worse everytime I watch them. Without Beckham they have no one to make any telling passes. They haven't got a clue.
Just about any Premiership club could beat this England team with the way they are playing [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Time for a new manager or time for a new squad or both?

I always slag them off to tempt fate then they play much better and make me eat my words, which I'm more than happy to do if it means we win

The usual serving of dire football again last night, good to see Vassell come on and totally transform the England side again with his pace and runs, this guy plays better for England than Villa!! should start every match.I know Owen scored two but it should have been 5 or 6 who does he think he is Andy Cole LOL

There were a lot of "first string" players missing though.
At the end of the day, a win is a win and by the second half performance we were by far the better side.
Most positive things were:
Shape changed for the better after the first half [thankfully].
Rooney substituted [quite right too]
Heskey stayed on the bench [thank G_d]
Pete Lewis for manager after he gives Klitschco a thrashing

Did'nt Henry score the perfect hatrick last season Right,Head,Left, I'm no Gooner but im sure he did the biz against Roma in the champs league. Or was it the Hammers??
Any Gooners on here who can confirm??, surely you must be over the "were still the best" and maybe u can clarify

Well, I have seen many England games and I still come back for more!!
We tear Germany apart once, remeber that thrilling game where we ripped into Holland?? But, most of the time we struggle and make life hard!!
I have noticed that when we are firing forward we play great, when we sit back and try to play clever we suffer ............ why can't we do what the Brazil side of the 70's did?? They didn't have a defence at all!!! 1 Goalie and 10 strikers - god, they were good to watch!!!
They leaked goals like a seive BUT they scored more than the opposition - simple!!
So? how about Owen, Vassel, Rooney and Beattie as out and out strikers ..... Beckham, Gerrard, Scholes, Butt, Lampard, and Cole just behind them .......... James can be playing his GameBoy leaning on the post!!
