Naah mate.
I wasn't trying to. Even if I did there are some real wippets and I am not that fast.
I enjoyed the course and finished the required number of laps without being last. Good enough for me
The single speed event is primarily about fun, even although it was the European SS Champs. In fact, you have a chance of winning a prize, and a better prize, for many reasons other than coming 1st, 2nd or 3rd! Even had 2 unicyclists complete the 2 x 10 mile laps!!
Lots of fun and a smashing weekend.

Hi Ian
Forest was reasonably dry. Couple of places on the course with puddles but I think they were quite well emptied by the end of the event. Otherwsie there was some damp areas but not what I would call muddy.
I know people have mentioned in MBR magazine that the FC had harvested bomb hole sections etc that were part of the locals favourite trails. TBH that was only my second time at Thetford so I don't know it well enough to comment.
I rode 32:18 on the 29er which is as close as I can get to the equivalent 32:16 on a 26" wheeled bike. Found it spot on for the single track.
Have a great time.
Cheers
