I'd be delighted if we win the wooden spoon - as long as that means we can get rid of bloody Telfer and his beloved "super" teams

Scotland really need to get their act together.

As for England, where would they be without Johnny "I can kick a ball" Wilkenson and the dark cavern that people like to call Twickenim(sp??)

Johnny's not the only kicker we've got, just cos hes the best and most accurate in the worlddoesnt mean we would struggle without him IMO..Btw we've ALWAYS had good kickers,so im sure somebody else could step in and be as 'nearly' as good as Johnny'the magnificent'Wilkenson

Thescooby,here you go TwickenHAM

I'll bite on this one.........
If you look at what he actually does on the field you'll realise
its a lot more than kicking.
Ask some of the opposition he's tackled.
Look at the space he makes for other runners, his speed off the mark.....the list goes on.........

After watching englands performance against Wales last week, England are beatable, and ireland will do it in Landsdowne Road.

Hmmm. IMO, the sign of a good team is winning when you play badly.

I reckon England will batter somebody in one of the remaining matches. When things click, somebody will be in BIG trouble

Think of the last couple of years as England have played some of their best ever rugby, been massive odds-on favourites for the Slam after a couple of matches, and managed to blow it (for various reasons). It could be their year this year - playing very averagely !
Still, I've always had the final match as the championship decider...it will be an absolute cracker (but I seriously worry about the Irish midfield exposing Hodgeson at 12. I would be much happier to see a true centre on the pitch to defent against BOD, or possibly moving Wilko to 12 for a defensive formation....however that only works for early phases, until Wilko is at the bottom of a ruck after a trademark fierce tackle -I worry for that boy!!-)

Best way to avoid getting hurt in a tackle... drill the other guy hard You get hurt when you try to pull out half way through the hit - unload and feel the buzz

absolutely....but even Rob Andrew says he gets concerned at the intensity of Wilko's tackling. Without question the best tackler lb for lb in the world, and technically superb...but anyone can get hurt in a tackle (or [insert body part] broken by over vigorous rucking....ask my now snapped lateral ligament on that one !!). Wilko spends a lot of time at the bottom of rucks (which is possibly why Newcastle are struggling without Dave Walder as back-up for Wilko while he's out of action)

Very true - not much you can about some 'fat' forward sitting on your head

Wilko captain now for Sunday. Nice one

but I seriously worry about the Irish midfield exposing Hodgeson at 12.
Tindle now starts at centre, Hodgeson is on the bench

I would have been happier with resting Wilko, and exposing Hodgson in his proper position. Unfortunately, if Wilko is captain, that almost certainly means he will play the entire game.

Still it's a strong looking team, and it's damn good to see Lewsey being given a run out at FB (I'd like to see Robbo moved back to his proper position on the wing)

'A' game should be good as well...Gommersall, Garvey and Scarborough, Noon, Christophers, Forrester, Johnston....bringing some good youngsters on here
