I hate to say it but I would have preferred the scousers to have won that one. They are no threat to the title race so let them have their moment of glory!
The Scousers pen was a definite... The @rse one though...what a cheating little spoon-eared w@nker that Jeffers is.

Seems the general concensus is that the Arsenal penalty was unjustified.
I will have to wait for the highlights as I don't have SKY.
I can then give you my opion as a referee.

redkop - you trying to tell us something about Franny ?
I've just seen it again on ITV premiership and it looks worse every time. The FA should have a look at that too on the grounds of unsportsmanship like behaviour....

Owen - he's probably knackered his "diving bone" the amount of times he's used it

Dont u refs get Sky Sports for free?
Little Miss WRX.....what league do you referee in?
I am still only a Class 3 referee, which mens I cannot move on any higher than those type of leagues, but once my fitness returns (still recovering from torn ligaments in both knees) I will progress further and intend to try and make it to top flight football.

The snort in the search was to get you to the right dive - it wasn't why he left his leg behind for Seaman to NOT touch - my point is that diving is part of the modern game - thanks to inconsistent referees !

I agree this is pointless - he dived (to get to the touchline to snort imaginary cocaine) - then he realised that his dive to get to his coke could be misconstrued as an effort to gain advantage for Liverpool in the form of a Penalty award against the unfortunate Seaman. He saw the ref approaching with his hand in his pocket and decided to tell him that he was just after his coke (that he had imagined). He then missed the penalty because he failed to snort his coke !
Yeah that was it
To get back to the original thread - Jeffers did indeed dive to get a penalty and Arsenal were lucky to get a point from a game that they desreved nothing from.
Happy New Year - and make sure you finish above uniched

Thats a lot of coke - even for Fowler.
Anyway, nothing we can do about the Jaffers incident. Done and dusted now. Its a shame that the video panel don't look at things like this, may make players think twice about cheating.

Exactly - the video panel should be used in all premiership games and cover all "dubious" incidents - Teams / players found guilty of misleading the officials and or assaulting other players (Messrs Gerrard, Keane, Keown etc.) should have points deducted - not fines and all that ****e - here you go Mr Keane a £20,000 fine (or a day and a half's wages (whatever it is)).
If a player get up from being felled and tells the ref the he wasn't fouled the ref should be able to change his decision !
However this is football and that all sounds too logical to me !

Pontificating
I'll second that, he was waving his finger at the ref saying it was'nt a pen, and the coke thing was after he'd scored in another game.
But Fowlers best moment was the Here's my **** Le Saux, fill it with your **** mate, funny as f*ck
Happy New Year All
