I missed the first 2 days and watched today and got less than a day's worth before it was over Great 10 fer for Jimmy

That is how I want all test wickets to play!

Bell would have got a double hundred on that pitch

An interesting few days cricket.

Genuinely worried after the first day but we pulled it back. Test cricket is still the best format of the game, not totally against the proposed day/night tests but they need to take a long hard look at themselves if they think that it's right to have a huge delay for rain only to come for an hour before taking a tea break. Bonkers.

Is Bairstow the worst keeper we have had? I think he is utterly useless

As for Cook and his lack of tactics again what are they playing at not putting the pressure on the last partnership? Where are the close fielders and tucking the ball up into the batman's ribs? Has Cook never paid attention to other sides finishing off a tail?

Bairstow not that bad....

Made me laugh when match rained off and someone was saying their (SL) national sport is genuinely vollyeball!

And that's how you tie a game with a six off the last ball

Well I couldn't resist any longer... we lost a test match to Bangladesh

English cricket plumbs to new depths

Now what was that we were saying about Bell?

We lost on a spinners pitch because we don't do spin. The ECL Spin coach is employed for 30 days a year, he should be full time just as the Seamer coach is.

Teach our boys how to bowl and our batsmen how to bat against spin, we have always had this issue as we don't have natural spinning pitches on this green isle.

That said it was embarrassing

Couldn't agree more however no other test playing nation has those issues (well the West Indies do but they are in a shambles) so the embarrassment is complete. India must be laughing their socks off!

What a crock of **** giving Root out Why is it all these decisions go against England? The bowler no way had control of the ball and it simply isn't out FFS. I can see it being that sort of series in India where they get every decision given their way

This morning is more like how I expected this test series to go, completely out played and our weakness to spin exploited to the maximum. As for a run out in a test match, unacceptable

Agreed, although after the 1st test I did carry some hope, that said it was such a green track it just didn't lend itself to spin.

Nice to see Jimmy back amongst it though

That's the thing when India come over here on green pitches we have them in trouble and shame Jimmy wasn't playing in the 1st test as it would have been interesting to see what he could have got out that pitch. Normal sub continent service has now resumed though.
