FAO: Paul/Simon/Steve:

Look what Peccy's done! We're way behind on the website thingy now

http://www.southyorkshirescoobys.co.uk/frameset.htm

Simon -you up for it? We could have a page on your website? (not wanting to use up all your bandwidth though!! - just a simple thingy...I like the section's Peccy has though) If not, guess we could always do it on some of that free stuff - like mine: www.geocities.com/scooby_chris_and_jen/ doesn't look as good though, but might be ok if we didn't have pics...

Gives us some good ideas now though?

Jen

Edited 'cos I'm a muppet...

Cool

With the weather improving and the day's getting longer I thought we would have a couple of meeting's away from the usual pub.
So next month(May) on the 13th we will meet at the Milbury's at Beauworth nr Bramdean.
I thought the Southampton crew could meet at the usual place, say 7:45-8:00 and then travel up together as I suspect some of you do not know where it is!
For June I thought we could go the other way and meet up with the Dorset bunch. So how about meeting at the Queens head in Burley.
The June meet will be Monday the 10th(no clash with the world cup)around 8 o'clock.
I hope this get's a few more to come along who wouldn't normally bother.
Cheers Paul.

Myk, cool it'd be great to meet the Dorset guys...

I think I've already bored everyone to death with the story of what happened to my Scoob, but in short it was: blown tyre+coming off a roundabout+nearby ditch = seriously injured Scoob in a repair centre in Botley

Should be easily fixable, luckly he hadn't even had time to warm up, so wasn't going quickly... <phew> Can read the full story here: http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...D=85930&Page=3 if yer want...no pics yet though.

Hopefully should be back for June

Aaahh!

Sorry Paul,

I'm working in Barcelona next week and won't be able to make it. Shouldn't be a problem for the June one though - and Dorset is my home patch :-)

Scub...I'm sure everyone'll say there's always room for one more! (especially as I won't take up much room in me Corsa )

It'd be good to meet you even if you don't have the Scoob by then

The more the merrier to each meet.As it is a Hants meet that cover's a large area so in theory we should have large turn out's.
Not alway's the case but we now have a very solid core of regular's that make all this sorting out worthwhile.
Ron,something to do with,on the back or is it the front?
Cheers Paul.

Jen,

Sounds like you are moving forward in getting the car back on the road. Hopefully no other damage was found when it was inspected.

Luckily the damage wasn't too extensive and we think that the valves, etc are intact after the cambelt came off, but apparently the labour cost alone is in the region of 1800 quid! Still, 4 weeks isn't that long ... is it?

Wink

Four weeks will fly by Jen and you’ll be back behind the wheel in no time. Just think how Chris will be bending over backwards to do anything for you, all the meals out he will be treating you too... the flowers.... the presents ..... !!!!
