Right,
Who is going up to bedford, be it on track, spectating, blagging rides (me, me!! ) on sat.
I want to know as I'd like to meet up beforehand and travel up together, cos I'm a fraidy cat and don't like going places on my own
Oh, and don't worry about saying I'd have to meet early somewhere, I went to donno and had to be at toddinging services at some rather silly hour in the morning

Markus, are you "racing"?
Some people are meeting at 7am at South Mimms services, but as we are only spectating that's to early for us.
If you are going later we can meet, we were thinking of going at around 9ish - 10ish ?

Not on track, only spectating and grabbing a few passenger laps. 7am sounds a tad early but I might be up for it. though later might be cool.
let's see who else posts here as well.

We'd be up for it!
I'd quite like to meet people for the day and of course won't be on the track...might want to learn the art of blagging rides from the great master of Markus and his beast Never been in a Scoob around a track before...
Would be up for either times, I'm not afraid!!
Oo, hang on...south mimms at 7am would mean leaving S'ton at about..er..5:30 !
I'll go along with whatever people say, but if it's early you better have some good ideas for getting Chris out of bed!

Jen,
would not say I'm the master of the blag
think I'd probably have to get up about the same time as you to get up to south mimms.
game for either time though.

I vote for meeting at 9:30 at South Mimms, common people it's a Saturday!!!!!

I've only been to South Mimms once and that was on the way to a university basketball tour of Barcelona...so I don't remember much about it Will it be easy to find you lot?
Oh, and you're right Markus - free to spectate, £5 for passengers. At least that's what it say's in True Grip
If anyone wants a passenger - I'm a willing volunteer - although it'll be my first time! (P.S willing to beg, I have no self esteem )
Well, Chris is ill -and I'm not feelin' to great but hopefully it would have passed by Saturday Lots of hot drinks for me

Jen,
no worries about finding us in the services, I'll try and park as close to the actual eatery type place as possible, so you'll see the beast parked there.

Markus,
Not that I am going or anything, but from previous experience teh best place to meet is the BP garage which you drive past on the way ion and out of the services, you can even see it from the M"% junction roundabout so its particulrly useful, and holds lots of cars!

here is a map of where south mimms services is. Junction 23 on M25:
Also, here is location of bedford autodrome (I assume that's where it is?)
So it looks like Junction 23 on M25 for south mimms, then off at Jucntion 21 for the M1, then up the M1 to jucntion 19, then hop off onto A14.
Here's what the bedford site says:
From the North
Leave the M1 at Junction 19 and join the A14 eastbound towards Kettering. Stay on the A14 for about 20 miles until the exit signposted A6 to Rushden and Bedford. From the A14 travel south on the A6 for 10 miles, go left at the roundabout signposted "Thurleigh Airfield Business Park(DERA)".
Follow this road for about 1 mile and then turn left into Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs and then signs for the appropriate hospitality suite. You will be met by PalmerSport personnel on arrival.
From the South through Bedford
Leave the M1 at junction 13 and take the A421 towards Bedford and Cambridge. Take the A6 north towards Bedford and go through Bedford town centre following the A6 towards Rushden and Kettering. Go through the villages of Clapham and Milton Ernest following the signs for Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. 3 miles after Milton Ernest, turn right at a roundabout signposted "Thurleigh Airfield Business Park (DERA)". After about 1 mile turn left into Thurleigh Airfiled Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs and then signs for the appropriate hospitality suite. PalmerSport personnel will meet you on arrival.
From the South avoiding Bedford (Recommended at peak times)
Leave the M1 at Junction 14 and take the A509 towards Newport Pagnell. After 1.6 miles turn right at a roundabout towards Wellingborough and Olney and then immediately straight over another roundabout. After another 2 miles go straight over a roundabout towards Wellingborough (still A509). Do not turn right here to Bedford.
Continue along this road, going through the village of Olney, until you come to a roundabout signposted right to Lavendon on the A565. Take this exit and continue for 2 1/2 miles until a T-junction. Turn left here to Lavendon (do not take earlier left turn to Lavendon).
As you enter Lavendon village, turn immediately right signposted Harrold and Sharnbrook. Go through the village of Harrold and then turn left at a T-junction signposted Odell and Sharnbrook. After 0.3 of a mile turn right to Odell and Sharnbrook and then go through both villages. In Sharnbrook turn right at "The Cake Shop" T junction towards Milton Ernest. Continue on this road (do not fork left) until ayou come to a roundabout on the A6. Go straight over the roundabout, signposted Thurleigh DERA. After 1 mile turn left into Thurleigh Airfield Business Park. At the entrance to the site follow the Bedford Autodrome signs and then signs for the appropriate hospitality suite. You will be met by PalmerSport personnel on arrival.

Kate,
looks like M1 is best for us southern types.
Jen,
looks like you'd be coming up the M3, then M25. Now, to get to South Mimms from M3 you'll go past the M1 turnoff, then we'd meet up and go back towards M1. Now if you are ok with that bit of double-backing then fine. If not, then I guess the majority of us could meet at south mimms, then meet you at Toddington services on the M1. Or should we all just meet up at Toddington services for about 9:30am (or 10am???)
What do you lot reckon?
