Cool

Right you southern jessies ....who fancies a turkey lunch with a few beers on Saturday??? I'm down in Weybridge for the weekend and the better half is out all day...so I plan on having a play....

....maybe meet up locally, have a beer and/or lunch...then maybe head off somewhere afterwards...

Either way...any ideas??

Who's up for it??

Cheers

Tom

Should be able to make this one!!

Any preference Rum? There's the Badgers Rest in Walton or Thames Court in Shepperton. And many others besides!!

Both have lovely open fires and good food resonably priced!

Andy,

I'm going to be in Weybridge....so as long as someone comes via me I'm not bothered which watering hole we use...Walton sounds good...but I guess thats only cos I've never been to Shepperton....

Is there any racing going on locally??? Could we take in a track somewhere as well??

I'll pass the buck back to you southern lot

Just checked there is no racing at Kempton Park, Sandown Park or Epsom on Saturday.

Unsure about the dogs, but I think there is a place in Battersea??

Banger racing in Wimbledon, but again I don't know where or when!

You might have to make do with a pub with beer and food!!

Thames Court is by the Thames and has a great view, only problem is that you have to negoiate a lot of speed bumps before getting there! Up to the Northern guy again!! (bear in mind I have Autoroute and can email you a map to whichever pub!!)

To be honest I haven't been to Brooklands Car Museum, so can't comment but I do want to go!!

And I think the menu will have:

Starters Breaded Mushrooms, Ham & Cheese Bready thing, Prawn Cocktail, Mixed Starter (Filled Filo Parcels)& Others I can't remember!

Main Course Hunter's Chicken, Couple of Steaks, Lemon Chicken, Chicken Arbanara, Lamb Shank, some veggie options and some others as well!!

Not bad considering they change the menu regulary!!

The pub is in Oaklands Chase, but I think you have been there before in one of your previous meets.

I assume you know where Brooklands is? Would you like a map to the pub? Drop me a mail with a rough idea of where you'll be. Although I'm sure your better half will know Oaklands Chase!

Andy,

I will be just up by the MG garage (and there is a nice classic/expensive/sports garage opposite aswell ) and Cafe Rouge...atthe moment I am planning on driving down Saturday morning....so plan to hit Weybridge circa 12.00...

re the pub I am sure that I could find it...but if Alex or Rob are about...or maybe your good self...I could meet up 1st by the MG garage and go from their...

Brooklands!!! yup, thats the one...I quite fancy having a look round...if you fancy it we could wander across after lunch for the afternoon??...

Again, I leave the ball in your court...

Tom

P.S. the menu looks good m8

I'm not sure if I could go to the MG garage Caroline (my better half) might start drooling at MGF's!!

I'll try and make it over for midday and I'll call Alex to see what he's up to.

Pottering around Brooklands will be much nicer than tackling the Christmas shoppers!

See you Saturday
Andy

Badgers Rest is good for me

Where the hell is that place anyway??? *LMAO*...

OK I will aim to arrive at the Badgers Rest at circa 12.00 mid-day on Saturday...gather the posse....lets have a Christmas turkey fest!!!!

The after a look at the cars...some grub and a Coke...off to Brooklands to have a look round the place...then maybe I'll park my car up and few a few jars in Cafe Rouge in Weybridge (cos its only walking distance from the missus' place)

My mobile is 07798 762285 if anyone gets the urge...

C U on Saturday

Personally Alex and Dave, I would come up the A3 and come off at Cobham. (First junction after the M25)

Head left at the roundabout and get into the right hand lane.

At the lights, turn right on to the Seven Hills Road.

Straight over the first roundabout

At the next one you want the second exit for Walton On Thames.

At the next roundabout, head left for Walton On Thames (You will go over a small metal bridge)

Take the first left 'Oaklands Chase'

The pub is on the right hand side.

Hope this helps
