Thought it was time for a proper new thread

Details of the meet:

Location : The Plough in Fen Ditton
Date : Next Sunday, 28th October
Time : From 11:30am onwards

Directions : From the A14 come off at the Fen Ditton turn-off (B1047 I think) towards Cambridge. After a couple of miles, in the centre of Fen Ditton, turn right (the Blue Lion pub will be on your left as you do so). Follow the road down for about 100 yards, then bear right at the War Memorial. Follow the twisty tiny road round for another 200 yds or so. There will be a sharp left, and then a bit further up the pub is on the left while the road continues round a bend to the right. Great venue...

Also, for those who want to, some of us are doing a 'Ring of Cambridge' run:

See here for original organising thread: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/Forum19/HTML/000546.html

and here for the results: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/Forum19/HTML/000561.html

Could I take a straw poll of those who are coming to the meet, and those that are thinking of joining us for half a run (45m) or the full ring (87m)?

See you on Sunday!!!

Me, with one passenger. Might do the Ring Thing if

a) it is dry
b) I get my brakes done in time

If anybody from Ipswich wants to meet up on the way I'll be at the Tescos petrol station on the Copdock roundabout (this is the one where the A14 meets the A12 BTW) at 10:50am

Then off down the A14 to meet anybody else at the BP petrol station on the triple caridgeway (the bit where the A14 and A11 join) at 11:30ish. Probably be best for the Norfolk peeps.

Ta

Hi Richard,

Should be there AND doing the 'optional' drive.

Bit of negotiation required though - it's the other half's birthday on Sunday so it could be one of the costlier meets I've been to.

Question

Dave,

Any of the 'new shiny bits' attached to the car?

Hugh

PS May need to employ bodyguard after your recent threat of violence

4 point Sabelt harnesses - fitted last week.

Cobra race seats promised for delivery today or tomorrow - if so, guess what I shall be doing on Saturday....

Re threats of violence, these can be allayed by payment of bribes

How come everyone else on the planet has either four or six point harnesses but you have five?

Is the extra one to harness your unfeasibly large *********???
