But unfortunately nah - I am in Latham House. I used to work in Ibex House in 1980. Just about sums up my career in the city - 21 years and gone 150 yards for my trouble!!

I can't think of a pub with a large well lit car park to the south or east of Cambridge, so let's meet at The Plough in Fen Ditton for now! Maybe we could discuss alternative venues over a shandy ot two. Shall we say Wednesday next week at 7.30? Who's up for it?
Taffy,
I assume you will be coming along the A14 from Colchester direction. Come of at the A1303 junction and take first exit at the roundabout (probably signposted Cambridge City Centre). After about 1/4 mile take turning on right (should be signposted Fen Ditton). You'll now be travelling parallel with the A14. After about 1 mile you'll pass over a bridge and after about 300 metres come up to crossroads (Blue Lion pub on your right) - go straight across into "High Street". After 200 metres bear right at war memorial into a road called "Green End". Follow road round until you see The Plough on your left. Drop down into car park.
See you there.

Good point - but I don't even get home until 7:30 pm (assuming on time - which unlikely - good old WAGN - to55ers) - and have to be up at 4:45am - so don't go out in the week - what a saddo!!

Yep, I'm up for it. Get back from Cornwall on the Tuesday, so this is a well-timed meet! Chance to exchange seasonal tales etc.
Course I'll still be in holiday mood(ish) as I'll only have been back at work for one day by then!

See you Wednesday

Shame you can't tootle down for our first one of the year. Maybe we should organise a weekend meet - a four hour round trip for you won't be so bad then!! In fact I have an idea for a drive to Grafham Water which is near the A1-A14 junction, maybe when the days get a bit longer.
Are you going to Donno? If you are, can I cadge a ride rouud the track? I aim to get there late morning.

Do you live anywhere near Buckden, coz I do. And I'm extremely close to Grafham Water, about 1/4 mile to be exact.
(Also a reasonably well lit pub car park with ample space for about 15-20 scoobs).
