Ladies & Gents,
Due to popular demand after this weekend fleet meet, we are thinking of holding one every 2nd Sunday of the month, so the next one will be:
14 January 2001
12 noon @ The Quays
Directions:
from M3 Junc 4 (not 4a)
Follow the signs A331 Aldershot/Guildford
Approx 1 mile after joining the A331 take the Mitchet turn off, you be able to see a lake to your left as you leave the A331.
At the roundabout at the end of the slip road turn left.
Then about 50 yards on take the first right and follow the road until the end, which is the Quays pub. The turning is sign posted Watersports center or words to that effect.
I'll repost this near the time, just wanted to see who is up for the regular meet type thing... and I know this pub aint in fleet
cheers, Alex

PS. For Danny F's benefit and others there are speed ramps on the road leading to Quays pub, ask Danny F how bad the last one is next time you see him!

But i will make it to the meet in the new year. Honest Gov.

Rob

I guess I can come along (if you're going to twist my arm like that!!!)
Although I will expect presents, what with it being a week before my 28th birthday!!
I know you're all thinking, "I thought he was lots older!!!"

I'll be there.
Also, after a weekend of driving the girlfriend round the New Forest recently, she thinks I'm a good driver (from a Canadian this might not be the complement it sounds - she can't drive manuals and has never driven outside Canada), so I hope to persuade her to come along. When I mentioned the first meet I went to (she calls them Rallies) she took the pi$$ non-stop. She thought I was some sort of train spotter. I am determined to prove her wrong. So no-one turn up wearing sandals, anoraks, bobble hats etc guys...

OI! less of the cheek...
Anyway Nito, as long as they see you drive in they will know who you are, as you number plate is interest!
We could always sit in a circle and one at a time introduce ourselves and give some info about ourselves?! (joke!)

Its a proper good pub the quays. Perhaps if they know its going to be a regular meet (which personally I reckon is ) Then they may allocate a certain section to us like some pubs do for the RS owners lads...Just a thought. Alex...fancy going down and having a word....I know one of the weekend bouncers who can hook us up with the manager to sort it out

I should be there as well, with trusty video camera ready. Hopefully, no one has any objections?
I'll bring my makeup assistant as well if anyone fancies "being touched up" for footage.

Perhaps plan a route alex? Like a treasure hunt or something to give some people a bit of a run? Just a thought....I have a good idea of a pretty good blat that would take everyone about 15-20 miles on some ace hampshire roads.....
