I was down that way the other weeekend and stayed in a place called Berwick St James about 5 mins from Stonehenge.
There's a pub there called The Boot Inn which has the most fantastic lunch and dinner menus.
I'm tempted to come along just to give the place another visit!
I also found everybody sooooo friendly wherever I went. I was waiting for the catch but it never came!

we can have some grub Half a pint and then some fun across the Plain

if you take the 303 to the old pile of stones keep them on the left hand side of you take the A334 to Shrewton carryon through
to Tileshead and there you will find West Lavington, were the pub is is anyone guess

From Tilshead the pub is on the left, keep your eyes peeled. Small frontage but bit of a tardis. Big car park and interior.
