Oi! That's sexist! I'm sure SuzyQ is more than *WOMAN* enough to have a go should she 'aquire' the keys to the pimpmoblie sorry the WRX Wagon! As for 'Giant' SuzyQ certainly qualifies!!! nudge, nudge, , !

Question

Ian S,
Wife and kids no excuse - you might have noticed my 1 year old climbing all over our 22B and blatting the horn for all she was worth. It was a suprisingly family friendly crowd!

Ian, I'm with Chuckster on this, having a family is no excuse

Wouldn't hold up hope for seeing anything of SQ at the meet as I doubt we'll be there.

I have had replies from
Scoobs (some)
Supras (lots obviously)
GT4 (some)
Cossies (some)
GTiRs (some)
Renault 5turbos (lots)
Skylines (maybe)
RX7s (some)

Its really gone a bit out of control. The drive down to Brighton should be worth getting on video if anybody has one. However I expect the Box Hill part of the event to be family friendly.

What exactly is happening in Saturday?

Is it meet at Box Hill, then straight off on a mad dash for Brighton, or will the meet be a static meet in its own right.

So, what the score, sounds a bit Max powerish.

Regards

It's a meet a Box Hill, a stand-around and meet and chat for a few hours, then a 'steady progression' (officer...) to Brighton for the night. Feel free to come along just to Box Hill, or both if you feel like it. Should be a good laugh though.

Interesting first post from our journo friend. Seems meet sabotage is in vougue at the moment. One of the northern meets was scuppered to some extent by a dodgy email too.

I agree. Ignore this crap, and come along. Anyone wanting to indulge in prattery will be dealt with anyway - the last thing we want is the anti-car group to have still more ammo against us.

This is intended to be a good day out, where people with common interests can all get together.

The message was copied to some 40 odd people including Maxpower and Revs asking for it to be sent on to Scooby, Renault 5 and Supra clubs.

It was also copied to the Southern Counties Group and various local papers - hence it being passed to me.

I did a nice long reply, but the BBS just rejected it due to flood control...I knew my posts were pretty useless but to say its just awash is over the top!!

Anyway, to summarise my lost post, Box Hill is a car show and I need to make it clear that the drive down to Brighton is not organised in anyway. Justin and myself cannot condone, or be held responsible for the actions of any other person who choses to come to Box Hill or go to Brighton. I have always made it clear that Box Hill is a bikers haunt and the police WILL be present, they just wont be messing about...if they catch you, or if you crash then only you are reponsible.

Come along, have fun, see lots of nice cars and have a chat. Come and go as you please and just enjoy the countryside. Head down to Brighton if you feel like it, if not head off to a pub somewhere.

By the way, wheres the rest of the message from Geoff, seems to be cut off on the bottom?

Branners

Lets face at any big meeting there will always be a police presence. If no-one prats about and breaks the law they will sit by and most likely enjoy it as much as the rest of us.

I agree with Mulder.

Who cares if the police are there? Do no wrong and you have nothing to worry about.

When I have had chats with policemen at similar meets I have always found them to be friendly and informative.

IIRC Plod showed up at a previous Boxhill meet, were very friendly and people had an interesting time chatting to them. Maybe get some tips on unmarked cars...
