South Hants Meet - Westside, Monday 9th August
Hello all!
That time again (blimey ), South Hants pub meet, Westside, Monday 9th August 7:45ish onwards....haven't decided where yet, give me until tomorrow (been on holiday, brain not functioning... )
Still, couple of other things to draw your attention to:
1. Castle Coombe Rally Day , Camping Here Thanks to Daren £8.50 per tent (pitch), 10.5 miles from the castle coombe circuit!
2. Andy and Martine's Grand Summer Dance Extravaganza in aid of Whizz Kids , we need a really good turn out for this one - and tickets are only £10 - Bargain!
3. And last, but certainly not least Alton Town Centre SCOOB ONLY Day Sure you all know about this one by now!
So hope to see you all there on Monday, and lots and lots of people to the other events. We're even dragging some Landy-boys to the Grand Summer Dance Extravaganza
Jen

we'll be there,
pimping tickets or gathering donations in a shakey-tin-thing
total raised so far now in excess of £2300 !!!
please see if you can make it, as said in thread theres a bed/place to crash for those who need it with (into the night - last man standing type thing) beers and (for those that can surface in an almost human fashion) brekkie chucked in!
see you there at the meet

Greg,
fancy doing the breather mod this weekend?
I can come to you or vica-versa.
pipework from B&Q, 7-up tin from friendly local newsagent, total cost <£5 ?!
can exchange on the springs also.
then I can also pick your brains on the fitting of my pump/regulator

Greg - cheers for the suggestions, will pop in and check out the Bear and Ragged Staff tonight - never been there before! Do they have a nice big Scooby Friendly (i.e. no speed humps?) car park?
Alternatively, there's the Rockingham Arms Nr.West Wellow, HERE they might be able to open us up our own private bar Not sure about he size of the car park though.
Btw, we need a really good turn out this month - Dan, the Shire Land Rover Club Chairman is going to be coming along.... possibility of lots of joint events so we could do things we can't usually do (due to numbers) I told him our meets are loads better than his, so we have to prove it now!

...was thinking the Rockingham Arms might be a bit far out for the Pompey Boys, Romsey might be quite a bit better...and there's a few nice country roads on the way up there

...and Yup, Daren I will be there - serious Scooby withdrawal symptoms!!
Have lots of ideas for the future events, will be using the meet to run a few past you guys
Oo, Also - get thinking!! we need some ideas for a Christmas "Scooby-do" ...could do Jongleurs again, but something in the middle of Pompey/S'ton would be good. Other option would be a meal e.g. TGI Fridays at Segensworth/Tailsman (very nice pub) etc....
oooooooooooooooooooooooor, we could do something unusual like "Christmas Karting Extravaganza" or something - maybe challenge the Landy boys? I donno... any thoughts gratefully recieved.

Jen,
What about the Balmoral at Nursling/Romsey, or The Luzborough.
The 4 horseshoes would be perfect. Good parking and massive beergarden right by the cars. Shame there is half a dozen speed bumps on the way down though...
Anyway The luzzy is a good bet. Any wherever, I’ll be there... along with Mark and Stevie probably.

Right, well thanks for all your suggestions guys Checked them all out, and they're all lovely - so they're all in the "book" for future meets
This month, we'll go to : The Bear and Ragged Staff (as it was first on the list ). Just the other side of Romsey on the A3057, so hopefully will make for some nice driving to start to round down the "on-tour" meets
Stoneymarsh, Michelmersh, Romsey, Hampshire SO51 0LB, Tel: 01794 368602, Map HERE.
The beer gardens right next to the car park, just make sure you all go in the entrance with the large weird mushroomey type things (second entrance as you come up from Romsey) they're looking forward to having us there
See you Monday!

terryb,
Question re the fuel regulator. Is the one you purchased a generic one that fits all scoobs ? where did you get it & how much ?
Thanks.

Clearing out the shed in preparation for the move and found our OEM downpipe and centre section off the Scooby - both with cats. Couldn't throw them out without trying to rehome them so they're free to anyone who wants them

Was purchased from Mark at Lateral Performance - these are advertised on Scoobyshop towards the bottom of the page (IIRC).
I bought it with the Walbro fuel pump and paid £195 for it all inc p&p.
I also believe that it is a generic one and it will fit many cars - not only scoobs - but this kit does come with an adaptor to fit the scoobs.
