While out doing my rounds today, I saw a Black Mitsubishi pickup truck flying down the old A130 heading towards the A127, with the blue and red flashing lights hidden in the grille, couldn't get the reg no because of the central reservation, so beware!!

 

there is also a silver 53reg bmw floating about!

 

Also make that a Black one on the A130 aswell

 

A silver bloody skoda superb on the M11

 

Don't forget the silver Evo VIII that was at Southend on Saturday. The few stickers it had were only magnets and the lights didn't look too permanent either.

Wouldn't have thought it would take much to make this an un-marked car!

Oh so very nearly fell pray to a marked traffic car tonight.

Took a run out to check over the new A120 - Braintree - Stanstead - M11 just opened today.

Just dropped onto it from the slip road & empty virgin road as far as the eye could see apart from one artic.

Usual mirror - signal - manoeuvre then just about to mash the loud pedal & some sixth sense made me re-check the mirror.

Little white dot just on the horizon.Went into cruise mode nice gentle indicated 70, so probably nearer 65.

White dot grew bigger then held distance & something on roof line could just be made out - Roof rack perhaps or light bar? The giveaway was the dot then stayed at "stalking" distance but even more obvious was the line of cars that appeared as the curve in the road opened up that would not overtake the white dot.

He must have watched me join the new road & just knew what was coming next & took up "Nicking Scooby Position".

Looking back on it I still don't know what made me take that extra look in the mirror.Visions of the "Fine Fest" when the new A130 & the Great Leighs bypass opened pehaps.

 

Rayleigh traffic have taken delivery of a silver Mitsubishi Evo8 marked up with some traffic police livery.....might be the same one.

 

A Reg Yugo in dark blue in Maldon also. No lights or anything. And the copper was wearing a cap!
