Top Speed Challenge 4!Convoy Meeting Times:Event on Sun 21st March
The mass Convoy will be leaving For RAF Woodbridge @ 8-30am From Tesco's @ Ipswich ( Toy's r us Roundabout ) (A12/A14)..
Shall we say: Meet @ Skoda Garage @ 6-45am To leave @ 7Am
Have a gentle cruise down there before all hell breaks loose on the Day!!
Will be calling into Mark's Tey on Route to collect Flat Eric
Some more Imformation about the day, Get those cq's sent off now!!
This event is organised by the 200sx Owners Club its is called the Top Speed Challenge but they also time your 1/4mile at speed at the 1/4 mile. As some of you will remember Scoobycity are usually invited to attend this event but after the hundreds of cars that attended last year it was in some doubt wether we would be invited again because they were simply running out of space. No need to fear though for we have been exclusivly given the go ahead to attend.
Last year saw over 200 cars (about 50 of them Scoobys) decend on the Airfield at RAF Woodbridge near Ipswich. Theres always some rather special cars to see such as the HKS Sumo 900bhp Skyline or the Norris 771bhp Evo. This year we should see an appearance of the famous Project X
There wil be a few changes ths year in the shape of crowd control barriers for spectators and a mobile burger van (no more long ques). Perhaps the biggest change is that we can now run a dual drag strip with christmas tree lights waahoo!!
Even if you don't want to run this venue will be used for a big Scooby meet so put your name down if you're coming and let us know if you plan to run or not.
We will be making a Scooby only DVD of the event and will hopefully get a camcorder INSIDE every car that runs aswell as the outside.
If you want to run you must get a cheque sent to Richie the organiser at the address below by the 10th March
Spectators can pay on the gate.
When sending off cheques can you please enclose the following details:-

Costs are £30 for runners and £10 to Spectate.

No chance.
The engine's not out yet let alone repaired with strong innards and put back in! I have the Omega pistons and rods, ring set, gaskets,5.2kg flywheel but still waiting on the clutch. Hoping to get the car back next week but then i've got to do 1800miles before it can be mapped
I will try to get those miles done in a week but it depends whether i can get the mapping done in time! i would say possibly yes if i could turn up on the day and pay but i won't know enough by the deadline

I could meet you & kent scoobs at BP garage on A13, just past A128 jct at say, 6:30, then follow me through to Skoda garage.

Might just make this!!!!
I'm getting the car back saturday but have got to drive really slowly and with no-boost Any slow people driving up???? mind you if its anything like Pele leading at 20mph on the M25 i should be ok
