Thanks to Scoobycity, we have been invited to attend ANOTHER rolling road session at Clive Attowe on Sunday 26th January.
I know a few of us where dissapointed with results at TDI so this may be an opportunity to prove that TDI had a problem with their Machine!!! Personaly, i think there was
Same price as before (£35.00) and 12 spaces are already taken, so the quicker we can get together the better.
Thoughts below please!!!!

Its in Norwich around an hour away. I would like to think Tony that the ones who where dissapointed could try again, just out of couriousity!
I was thinking of attending the one being arranged at Power Station but firstly its a long way for us and secondly there will be too many of us to attend with the others on the same day

Tony - Have you sorted your motor yet? Try cleaning out the boost solenoid, they can get contaminated with oil. Do a search for the procedure or have a look in the SIDC FAQ?

Car is in for service on thursday so I will let Wilsons have a go so if anything is wrong I may be able to get it done under warrenty.

What John suggested means I will have to open the bonnet, that means possible dirty hands. No thanks.

Tony you looked a dab hand under the bonnet what i saw of you at brands!! those of you attending the power run dont forget the ear defenders , my bonce still aches from the last one!!

Whereabouts is Clive Attowe?

I went to a rolling road day with my mates GTI-R club today, and thought that i'd like to attend a scooby one.
Only thing i'm not sure about. Whenever i've had cars rolling roaded previously, i've ended up disappointed. At the moment, i'm thrilled to bits with my P1's performance, and i'm worried that mt opinion of it will change if they tell me its only doing about 250. See my point.

I'll probably pop along, dunno about the power run though, let me think think about it.

The reason we are arranging one again (We done one 2 weeks ago at TDI) is that as you say a few of us where also dissapointed. But, to be honest, we think that there was a problem with their Rolling Road as there where some very strange figures!! It took 3 cars to calibrate and even then figures didnt seem correct, hence we are trying again.
Keep an eye on this post or e-mail me if you would like any more info.

He managed 240BHP at our last event. Pitty he cant drive it!!!!

Just picked my car up from service and they run a diagnostic to see if they could find any boost problems, everything was ok. They said that from there readings I am running above average boost and should be showing 215 - 220 BHP.

Seems that the runs at TDI were not quite accurate.

mmmmm. i thought so, but then again you cant tell what BHP you are running from the handheld. But, if you are running the correct boost....

 

have we just gotta pay on the scoobycity site? just to check! dont wanna go pay and no-one else joins me from this way! but im sure that wont happen!

hi all, not sure if its worth another 35 nicker to have a no score draw !! someone convince me it will be worth it !

 

I spoke to Clive about your problems and he just simply can't understand how or why this was happening on a 4WD car.

He reckons he only ever seen problems on stupid BHP cars of 500+ on 2WD and even then wheel spin can be easily cured with the right amount of stapping down.
