Hoping to get in for this but may be in the Vectra (
)
Its in Fen Ditton @ the pub on the river whose name I can't remember as I'm drinking tonight & not tomorrow...
I'd be hoping that P1Fanatic & Barnaby make it as well, like as if they've neither got far to go

We usually congregate from 1930 onwards, though it sounds as though DP's having his own mini-meet from 1900
If you're planning to eat there I'd suggest arriving before 2000 & getting your order in, as service isn't always too rapid.

It is the Plough
Directions... From the A14 Eastbound come off at the Fen Ditton turn-off (B1047 I think) towards Cambridge. After a couple of miles, in the centre of Fen Ditton, turn right (the Blue Lion pub will be on your left as you do so). Follow the road down for about 100 yards, then bear right at the War Memorial. Follow the twisty tiny road round for another 200 yds or so. There will be a sharp left, and then a bit further up the pub is on the left while the road continues round a bend to the right.
From the A14 Westbound, come off at the A1303 exit bearing left towards Cambridge. Keep going straight over traffic lights etc until you see a traffic light junction with a right hand turn signposted Fen Ditton (I think it has it's own filter lane). Go right up there, and about 1 mile up there turn left at the Blue Lion pub and follow directions as above.

Sexy wrx69,
Feel free to try out your kickboxing on Dave T-S (if he turns up!) for being rude about Stan (if HE turns up
)
Dave,
You're a harsh man
Stan,
You know you're more than welcome at the Plough...

Sorry Sal
I was only in the office for five mins yesterday and couldn't find your e-mail address
Anyway we had guest appearance from Richard (aka Bitten Hero, aka un-bitten hero, aka re-bitten hero, aka offtobitebigsausagesingermnayhero) via telephone from Germany. He says hello and life is good with him (no knick-knacks in the new house so could you send him some)
Very pleasant night down by the river thanks to Grahame once again

I'm glad he's ok, no probs re the knick-knacks as I'm amassing a collection ready to take with me on my first visit, including some nice stone elephants

That's if he ever gets in touch...

Thought the evening went well - we covered a myriad of subjects, including hair removal/shaving, blow off versus recirc., Hugh's perks, Mark's wonky geometry etc. We even had a telephone link-up with our German representative. See what you missed Puff
See you on the Rutland Run 15th September.

Hi guys and gals,
I am still around! I'm finally back on the Internet now that Deutsche Telekom have finally sorted out my phone line
As Mark says, life is going well here at the moment - good work, great city, nice people... so far so good! Social life is quiet but picking up (out partying last night!).
I'm having a nightmare getting insurance sorted out for the Scoob though. They won't insure me until it's registered in Germany (which means I can't use S600B RG over here
) - the German love of paperwork and things being done "right" I can't register it without taking it to a testing place, which could cost up to 500 quid to be checked, headlamps converted, etc. Then Direct Line (UK) won't send me a letter of confirmation for my NCD until I cancel my insurance with them. But I can't get insurance here until I have it!!!! Which means for a day or two the Scoob will sit there, uninsured, on the street!! Not a happy bunny Still, it'll be worth it...
Off hiking in the Alps on Sunday, then off to cover Jordan and the Porsche Supercup races at Monza in a few weeks time
Hope everything's going well for people - Stan, one day you'll actually make it back to a meet! Good luck getting the car all sorted.
See you all next time I'm in Cambridge...
Cheers
Richard

Hi All,
I'm sorry I missed the meet too. I was either sitting at 160k's
on a French autoroute heading for Calais or sitting on the Ferry drinking gallons of coffee
when you lucky folk were sat in the Plough in the evening Sun. Incidentally, had a fantastic time in the Dordogne, Biaritz and the Pyrenees. Covered 2057 miles in the Scoob in 13 days.
The roads in the Dordogne and in the Pyrenees were fantastic!
The car was faultless but I unfortunitely had the miss-fortune of a French trails biker falling off his motorbike on to my car and taking gouges out of my rear bumper and scratching my boot and spoiler.
I'll post some pictures up when I have them developed and scanned - + some statistics regarding my fuel consumption for the trip for all the geeky people like me ...
Hopefully see you all at the Rutland Run (work load alllowing - I have a big presentation to give the following Thursday), and if not, at the next evening meet.
Ben.
