The car has been going well for a couple of thousand miles , so it is due for a gearbox failure
Steve

Sold the Outback 6 weeks ago, bought a Scorpio to ride round in and look for another car. I now have a car with ABS, Air Bag, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Central Locking, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Full Service History, Imobiliser, Leather, Luxury pack, Manual, One Owner, Passenger Airbag, Power Steering, 6 disk changer unit and will hit 150 mph. It will also do over 30 mpg at 80-90 mph. Year 2000 and cost 9 grand. It has a turbo and I have had one before. Answers on a postcard.

Were coming along, just sort out the meeting point and time.
A roads sound more fun especially for the trip up ie. early and realitivly traffic free, can always zip back on the M5 to return.

it's now looking unlikely for me to attend as my gran's 80th birthday bash falls on the same day so i'm off to that, although I could possibly travel up in convoy with you guys (i have to end up in liverpool)...

Right then, had a look at me map and for those coming from the Bristol area, the suggested meet point would be the layby just off of junction 18 of the M4 on the Stroud side on the A46 about 200yds from m/way junction. We then take the A429 all the way through Cirencester/Stow etc. There's a Little thief near Stow we could stop for some brekky. We'll probabaly come back the M42/M5 route.
What time does everyone want to meet ?
Steve.
