Anyone rolled the wheel arches ? I have spaced wheels out to where I want them (nothing extreem) but scrubbing really badly. I can get the use of a roller and try it myself but would like advise before I start.

I'm having a new cat back exhaust fitted soon and was wondering if the prodrive quad exit backbox is worth selling?

15mm spacers and tightened coilovers to their max. Rears are getting rolled on friday then I'll see how much i can soften it before they scrub.

Mine has one faint scratch that annoys me. I hate there's nowhere for the keys when there's a pushbutton start. I was back at the dealers and 1st thing he did was rattle the keys of it into the centre cubby. Passengers also put they're house keys etc in there and I scream at them not to use it. They look at me and wonder what the heck I'm on about. Same with the bit on the doors.

Completely understand..... Next thing I'm going to do is spray the door handle near the window switches, its the same easy scratch paint as the centre console.

Its funny, my first hatch was euro spec with push button start, not got that on my current one and I don't miss it. Do miss the BBS wheels though

well I've never done any wrapping before and it came out ok.

Just make sure you've got a sharp knife and a heat gun.

That's me done with the stance of the car. Only minor rubbing on the front. Rear arches rolled and coilovers dialed back 5 clicks from max stiffness. Rears could actually go a bit wider now but it'll do for a while.

Anyone ever find out what the upgraded PRV spring was that was used in the steering pump mod Litchfield / Powerstation used to offer? Still can't find a great deal of info on it and its one thing I hate about the hatch is its lack of steering feel.

looks great. I'm going to do mine after seeing yours. how does the console come out? are there screws or is it clipped in? are you tempted to do the bit above the glovebox as well?

Update on this CEL problem I was having.
Tried Don's user guide and manual, checked wiring, earth, cleaned contacts, checked for leaks, cleaned MAF and MAP sensors, still occurred a couple of times a week.

Bought and fitted new MAP sensor ( Perrin 4 bar as that's what it's mapped for! ) and NOT had a problem again.
So looks like the first perrin 4bar MAP sensor, fitted maybe 2 years ago, has failed / intermittently fails leading to CEL and poor running.

Think it was a 1 year warranty. Anyway fixed now!

Cheers

Not come back yet, other readings when working look OK.

Will check wiring next.

Will try and log when it happens again.

Also, what is the little matchbox, ally box with a connector and a hose from manifold just behind/left of alternator? Noticed it when checking for any leaks / loose hoses on manifold. Didn't do anything when I unplugged it!

For info, the error came in light traffic in a village, very light throttle in low gear. 3 times in 10 mins, read and cleared each time.

There are two bolts in the centre console where the 12v socket is, one screw under the gear lever. The whole centre section is then loose so you can then unclip and pull out the tray part

I'm tempted, not sure how easy that part is to remove

Just testing the water guy's, I may have a set of 365 x 32 Alcons Big Brakes for sale. I had them fitted to my saloon as the Pro-R up-grade a few years ago front and back. I put my car in for an early MOT last week as I'm off on a trip round Europe with M-SOC tomorrow so thought Id get it MOT and checked over before our trip. When it was having the MOT the guy noticed my bells where damaged on the front and the discs and pads where quite worn so all needed replacing straight away, this was not good news as I know they are not cheap and can take a while to get a set delivered. To cut a long story short I went and fetched a new K-sport big brake set up and replaced the Alcons the next day to enable me to go on the trip round Europe. When the Alcons where removed I sent pictures and an email to Alcon UK regarding the damaged Bells, they got back to me to day and as a gesture of good will have offered me a good deal on a NEW set of Discs/Bells assembled and a NEW set of the pads required for my Alcon 6 pot Callipers, so if I take Alcon UK up on there offer then would any one on here be interested in buying the new Alcon discs/bells/pads and my 6 pot Callipers for £1300. Below is an estimate from RCM which I got last week just for the discs/bells and pads which comes to £1803 inc vat,

If any one is interested then please pm me or give me a call on 07974 364384

Cheers

Hugh

Hello Hugh,

Good morning! Just following on from your call yesterday please find below the information on the Alcon front braking components. It would appear the most effective way of doing this would be to purchase the discs as complete assemblies (discs, bells and bolts built).

Left Disc assembly – RRP £646.09+VAT
Right Disc assembly - RRP £646.09+VAT
Ferodo DS Performance Pads – RRP £204.88+VAT

The disc assemblies are in stock so could be with you in just a few days. The pads however would be 3-4 weeks.

Please have a think and let me know if I can help further.

Best regards,
