His car was "600 torques". Does he by chance mean 600lb/ft of torque. Holy **** how can he even pretend to tune if he doesnt even know the terms for performance measurement.

Don't you mean paying somebody else to build and map it then claim he built and mapped it on his new website while happily bodging up Facebook idiots wrx's with silicone sealer and bullsh1t stories.
These pictures are from a car belonging to a friend of mine. She asked rotherham scoobies to rebuild her engine, fit some bonnet latches, gauges and abw arch kit. In his own words that Tony bloke said the arches were done to a professional standard
The engine dropped a valve during the 1st mapping session so that had to be sorted and he recommended she had the gearbox rebuilt. She has had the car inspected by someone else and there are no signs the gearbox has ever been apart.
The arches are fitted with self tappers, 1 of which has been screwed straight into the loom. The arches are also bowed and painted with a rattle can. You can see huge gaps between the body and arch and the 2 rears arent even in the same place. You can see from the bodywork that the bodywork/bumper has been hacked away with what looks like a hacksaw due to the marks its left.
There are choc block wiring connectors everywhere, in the dash, under the bonnet and theres even a gauge wire running over the top of the turbo. The bonnet latches are just beyond any level of work i've ever seen.
He told her the bill should have been 8k but knew she didnt have that, so charged £4800 for this work. She's now left with a car that is pretty much condemned as it will cost too much to fix and has been taken to the cleaners. She wont go back there based on experience and lack of trust, and really doesnt know what to do.
What I find most shocking, and questionable is how he's not ended up in court via trading standards yet? Would anyone seriously let him map their car if his workmanship is of this standard?
This is why I said on another post that its difficult to find trusted places up here to work on the car and why I will do my upgrades myself, with friends help and travel for the mapping. I've only become aware of how bad this guy is since joining here.
One local garage that is great and no-one ever complains about is Sheffield Subaru Service. He has monthly meets (usually 25-30 cars) so you can have a chat and ask advice, or talk to some people that have used the garage.
