I'm up for it if you can find enough buyers. Exedy performance clutches that are taking 400 hp on some cars we have fitted it to No slip no judder a perfect solution.

Performance organic with release bearing £ 250.00
light weight flywheel £ 120.00
Flywheel deposit pending old unit return £ 50.00

Carriage £ 16.00

Fitting £200.00

All plus VAT for the 5 speed kit.

6 speed clutch £ 320.00
Billet light flywheel [ 5 Kg's ] £ 285.00 no exchange
Carriage £ 16.00

Fittting £ 250.00 [ cos it's heavier ]

All plus VAT

Need 5 of each to qualify for the GB. Fitting can be done Saturday mornings or any other day while you wait. Bacon rolls [ on a Saturday ] and coffee supplied.

Any time you are ready guys.

Good Luck David APi

Hi David,

Possibly up for a 5-spd kit for a '95 JDM WRX. Is that a modified standard flywheel on an exchange basis, and how much is it lightened? You're way over west aren't you? ... so that'd be delivered rather than fitted.

I supposer that the middle of England does look like ' way over west ' from the Siberian wastes of Cambridgeshire.

We are 12 miles west of Daventry and 4 miles from junc 12 of the M40, there is a map on our web site. One of my staff commuted from Peterborough for nearly a year till he could move house so on a real drag.

Anyway it'd be nice for you to see how the 'other half live '.

David, going by your prices, if I bring my classic RB5 (you know these quite well mate ) to have the work done it would cost.

Performance organic with release bearing £ 250.00
Light weight flywheel £ 120.00
Fitting £ 200.00
Total £ 570.00
---------
Total + VAT £ 669.75

Are my figures correct?

A genuine 350 is not possible at that budget. The simple limit on an STi 4 is around 330 as that is the official ' limit' of the 440 injectors. We can squeeze it up a bit more than 330 by increasing fuel pressure and making the injectors work harder.

If you give me a ring l'll talk you through the options and the expected results.

Clutch and light flywheel is £370.00 + £16.00 Carriage + VAT £453.55 + £50.00 deposit until the flywheel arrives back. We pay for and collect the wheel when you tell us it is available.

Approx 7 Kg's. we machine them to a set size, but cast iron varies in density so some come up a bit heavier and some a bit lighter.

Get your names down, you can't get much better than this for the money.

I have this set up on my car and I'm very happy with it, I'm running around 330 with No clutch judder and it's so smooth to pull away. one of the best mods I've ever done on the car and there have been quite a few.

The lightened flywheel is well worth having, I wouldn't of thought it could make so much differance but it really does rev more freely.

Basically, a lighter flywheel means that there is less inertia for the engine to overcome during acceleration so less power is absorbed. An uprated clutch is needed when you reach the point where your existing one starts slipping due to its inability to handle the power that's being fed through it or it might just be worn in which case the Exedy clutch doesn't judder on take up the way the standard one does. Do a search in Drivetrain and you'll find plenty to keep you reading

I don't know what to do, i'm currently running 333bhp & 325lbs on the standard wrx clutch which is fine unless i launch it, i don't know how long it's gonna last but it doesn't slip at the moment so would probably not need one until next year, what do i do

Granby: I agree with the man above - it can only be a matter of time before you need a clutch and these prices are really very good. Quality is beyond doubt. Only 2 more needed for the 5 speed kit
