The STI 380S will include a complete engine rebuild by Prodrive with many up-rated components to reliably achieve the target 380 PS.
The article above was written at the end of July 2008 and with Subaru pulling out of the WRC and ending it's "relationship" with Prodrive in December 2008 it probably killed the project only for it to be raised again later with Cosworth instead.
Im about to buy new wheels and after long discussions on fitment choices , I've partially decided on . . . .
18x 9.5 et30 , 225/40 tyre. A guy has this fitment on his hatch already but he mentioned running negative camber ? -2.8 he thinks. Is this just done as part of a geometry set up? or wheel alignment at a tyre garage ? Is it just the fronts as am i right in saying there isn't any adjustment in the rears ?

any help appreciated
For a wheel width of 9.5" the minimum tyre width is listed as 245 ; maximum 275 ; ideal 255or265
Yeah Don I've still to discuss tyre fitment. Think i need the stretch to make them fit. I dont want to stretch, but will put up with a slight bit if it means better fitment. I have the option of a narrower wheel (8.5) but the wheel I've chosen has a dish on it. The wider the wheel , the nicer (deeper) the dish.
you have arch extensions though ? Do your wheels rub anywhere ? Any info on offsets ?
Yeah, I was referring to 9.5 and 265 begging a good match.
On the front they are direct bolt on, lowering springs and yes arches are cut and extended. Rear has 20 hubcentrics. Occasional catch the arch when under a serious compression, but rare. On track they haven't caught yet.
I wouldn't think a 9.5 would fit without poking out of the arch slightly?

i spent the best part of 2 hrs today discussing it with the guy in the wheel shop. My 2 options are 9.5 et30 or 8.5 et**(can't remember but thats why I'm leaving it up to him to get me what fits)
the 8.5 wont have as big a lip on the dish. I've looked all day and there's loads of hatches with 9.5 et30 on Facebook. My only unknown is what tyres they're running.
I'm still doubting myself. I'm now wondering if i should play it safe

I be interested to see how you get on. I suppose spoke design has a lot to do with it too so you avoid caliper clash. But having read about 9.5 without stretching tyres it would seem the catch the arch and in some case the shocker, so then adjust the camber to avoid but end up with a poor luck or stretched tyres. Don't take my advise, I need to research more myself. I personally hate the look of stretched tyres.
This is feeling like a dumb question, but is it possible to have a fuel usage readout in mpg on a JDM?

The clock/display unit is the same part number for JDM or UK, only changing depending upon model year.
As far as I can tell the units of measurement etc., along with many other settings, are established by the "Market"and "Destination" codes set (using SSM) in the Body Integrated Unit as described in the LAN SYSTEM (diagnostics) Subaru Select Monitor part of the Service Manual.

i think i'll play safe and go for 8.5. I really don't want any scrubbing but like the deep dish. I guess i'll just have to compromise.
Wheels i like the look off. What my comprise of 8.5 will probably look like

Who is the chap on here that makes overlays for the rear lights?
I have decided to replace mine as they have faded (crap vinyl) because I have gear to make them, however I do not want to tread on anyone else's shoes as I know someone else was making/supplying them once?
I've have printed some sample colours and I think I have found the right shade, and they seem to work well, so I'll measure and cut them soon.
Here are my current ones as they were before they faded.

Anyone got a pic from directly underneath with the quad exhaust ? Going to get a bit of exhaust work done and taking it tomorrow to let him have a look at what can be made. I'm wanting to have a wee look before i go.

cant seem to find any OEM pics at all. Basically I'm hoping to get a rear section made up with no big backbox. But this will be loud as heck. So wondering if theres anywhere a single small silencer could be fitted , somewhere in the centre. (I already got the resonator removed so wonder would one fit back in that area)
Also hoping a flange can be fitted somewhere so the big Prodrive box can be fitted back on easily if required.
