Ok so on my 03 jdm spec c motorsport version I have a bumper that doesn’t have winglets as standard I want to get a sti bumper that has them as standard though. I think visually the bumper with winglets as standard and combined with a splitter looks much better... also I managed to catch my bumper a few weeks back so seems a obvious time to do a swap

This is my current one albeit from when I first bought the car some years ago, is there anything different about it or is just basicly a wrx bumper with sti fog covers???





And this is is just a pic I picked up of eBay of the sort of thing I had in mind






I’m just wondering what my options are I mean are uk and jdm sti bumper all the same or are there differences


Also are widetrack and non widetrack front bumpers the same fitment.....

If anyone no’s of any bumpers for sale ideally in white 51e needs to be uncut

That blue bumpers is as new freshly painted mattyb has it up for sale at £400

I was thinking bout buying it for mine rather than get mine re done as I’ve got a 20p size laquer peel on it but I only want to pay £200 without the fog covers which is wishful thinking

 

Well I haven’t seen to many 51e white bumpers fs that regularly don’t get me wrong they
Occasionally pop up but few and far between..

I may have to get a alternative colour and have it sprayed in which case it wouldn’t need to
Be immaculate as getting re done anyway so maybe get one a little cheeper than the blue one matty is selling above

I know of an aftermarket one in white think it’s chargespeed but I don’t have the pics

Ok thanks it’s good to no there all the same means I have a few more options

 

The bumpers are the same, the winglets are a seperate part that fits over the main bumper panel. So all you need to do is buy the bumper winglets, not a full bumper panel.

 

 

My bumper doesn’t have the holes for the tabs on oe winglets .... I no I can but winglets I can bond on but that not really what I want to do

 

 

In that pic above u can see the 3 holes running vertical ish beside the fog cover hole
Then a further 3 holes horizontally from the top hole along this is a standard sti bumper
I belive and where a winglets tabs are located....
