I have some problems figuring out how to make a good looking fuel system for my Type R.

I have AVCS heads with 20mm intake manifold spacers so that I can use the V5 intake manifold. And I have As Performance fuel rails with the top feed conversion kit. This together with a MD321T+ "twin scroll" makes it very difficult to get some normal 90 degree AN fittings in place, mostly on the turbo side. The wastegate actuator is too close to get a 90 degree in place and to have it pointing upwards, it would have to be angled to the outside of the car in that case. It could work with a 120 or 150 degree fitting as pictured but I don't quite like that idea either.





So I was thinking if it would be possible to use M14 banjo fittings directly from the fuel rails instead as the threads are M14x1.5? Or would the holes in the banjo eye limit flow too much? As I said it's a MD321T+ and I will use ID1000 injectors so I don't need to max out the fuel system. Using banjo fittings would save a lot of place compared to using a M14 to AN6 adapter and then an AN6 angled fitting on that.

If the space is tight use a banjo fitting, as you said with flow just check the banjo has holes big enough to flow, they usually flow better than those 180deg fittings.

Yes I will have to source some bolts with large enough holes.

That banjo came from Earl's, they usually have 2 holes in them, which together was larger than the smallest internal dia -6 fitting in the system, that engine flowed enough to give over 700bhp.

Good to know, I will ask Torques UK about their banjos. Their other fittings seem to be good for the money.
