Default My 2003 jdm blob

Hi,

I just wanted to introduce myself as I’m a new member and this is my first time owning a Subaru.

Here is my 2003 jdm sti blob.

Currently purchasing mods to get it to stage 4 between 380 and 420 bhp 😊

Looks very nice. Where you from? I see you bought it from Max at Hurst. Are you local to Bedford?

Don’t worry I’m going to keep it in just as good nick as you did haha
Did you get the exhaust modded when you owned the car by any chance ?

When I got the car it was near on completely standard, got it off a nice old chap off here and it was practically mint, I fitted coilovers, a hayward and scott full turbo back decat, alcatek with A/L , defis , personalised plate, nice stereo etc.

It had different wheels when I had it and no rear diffuser, I think I have pics somewhere if they would be any use to you. The car had a very much loved and cared for life so you have made a good buy! the owner before me was extremely caring for it also. lovely motor and hope it brings you as much enjoyment as it did me

Great sounds good thanks very much for the info!!

The haywood and Scott exhaust, is it a full 3” system do you know ?

has it got an Alcatek ecu I take it ?

There’s also a couple of switches next to the auto I/c water spray switch that I don’t know what they are as I wasn’t told when I bought the car, could you help me out with info on these ?

How do I initiate anti lag ? I’m guessing these switches could be to do with this ?

Thanks

Hi Danny, it was a while ago I sold it, a few years in fact so I cannot speak on what happened to it after, but I had a brand new full turbo back 3" hayward and scott fitted, it was the full system.

It had a brand new alcatek ECU fitted and mapped by the great late JGM (RIP) with anti lag, the switch for which from memory was near the IC spray, it was simply a case of switching it on to turn on, you will know when its on as it will up the revs slightly and make alot of noise when you rev and let off.

This is of course assuming none of the above was removed or changed, not sure why it would have been as they are top of the range parts and were almost new.

Okay no problem thanks very much for the help.

I’m hoping it’s not had anything removed after you sold it as it would be stupid like you say.

When I bought it however, it did say mapped by Paul balmire of zen performance ecutek which is slightly confusing.

I’m currently away in Poland with work so when I’m home I will double check the anti lag switch and see if anything happens.

I’m sure the exhaust won’t of been messed with which means I won’t need to buy any items for that as part of my next mods which is good news hopefully!!
