I've been wanting to get a Scoobynet key ring, but not been able to find one so i was thinking of getting some made up, i just wondered if there would be any interest in these from other members?
It would just be the Scoobynet logo, but i'm going to have to payout to get a sample of logo made up then buy a bulk amount?
Not 100% on price, £2-£3 each maybe in a plastic/rubber material, of course i would have to buy a bulk amount, and 1st class postage i think is around 90p. I don't know if this a good idea or not.
Update here is first draft of how it might look, any ideas on improvement would help thanks
I personally don't think its a good idea but then what do I know. It seems the user base is dwindling down a fair bit and the people who own the site don't really care, they don't seem to be enthusiasts but I could be wrong. A lot like many of the CEOs who only care about the bottom line and not the brand overall.
There are plenty of STI and Subaru keyrings out there.
Yeah I think your right it's just run as a business, as they own loads of car forums. Will see what interest I have if it's worth while. Don't want to be stuck with loads of them lol
If they organised stands at shows etc then probably quite different. But how often do you see admins commenting etc. They literally bought advertising space thats it to them and possibly the paid memberships.
Yeah i think the advertising space will be the main money, plus paid membership for traders as i believe thats not cheap. Our memberships won't go far £12 a year.
Ok thats great, i was thinking of getting the plastic/rubber ones done, as alot cheaper, and i also have to buy in bulk to get a good price, so buying a few hundred metal badges will be alot more.
I've told them what i'm after and there going to design me a logo. And then get some prices.

But plastic ones might look just as smart and more up to date
I'll defo take 2 for my keys if you do go ahead with it, superb idea
Not a bother I've gathered quite a few nice ones in the past
This calls for a pic any excuse
Lol thought you would have had your keys in the ignition and then took the pic

Looks like I was wrong mate, plenty of interest
Was basing it on the way people keep moaning about the site. Do you remember a few months back when new posts weren't showing up and so many lost the plot lol.
Just to add something else into the mix what about leather. Seen some really ccool ones.
You might not be wrong yet, a few thumbs up doesn't mean i won't be left with loads
I've seen some nice ones in metal and leather mix, but think thats just pushing the price up. think if its cheap enough people will have one. I just hope they last, as i know the metal ones will last for years.

Wow, this must be the first post you've ever made that doesn't contain a spelling mistake. Those functional skills English lessons are really paying off.
I remember ages ago someone else was going to do this but I'm sure they got in to copyright issues over the Scoobynet logo and name and weren't allowed to use it without permission and essentially giving the Scoobynet owners a cut of the profits so they scrapped the idea.
