On an Impreza, it has to be the 'standard' titanium STi exhaust. A mate had one on his S202, fantastic piece of engineering!

For other cars, I think it has to be a straight through miltek on a Mk2 Focus RS. That 5 pot is such a brilliant sounding engine but the miltek brings it alive!

Agree. My WRX RA had a full Fujitsubo Titanium, weight nothing and sounded epic.

I still need to do a sound-test of my system. Might do it tonight if it's not pissing down with rain.

Any of the jap ones, Build quality/sound is far better than the ones made in this country.

They put extra thought into the design. use extra bracing, use thicker material where it's needed. Just look at the welds on a Uk made system, Miltek are more of blob of metal.

The Jap exhausts Ive had in the past have rusted up and are of a mild steel metal, HKS super dragger for example looks great on the backbox and tailpipe design as its stainless steal, but the midsection is terrible and rusts(HKS supposed to be the bees knees for Jap car tuning) Same goes for the Fujitsubo exhaust I also had on my STi the quality was terrible with the mid pipe rusting again.

But then Ive had also had a few Blitz Nur Spec and the quality has been great and they sound lovely So my argument about Jap exhausts is pointless

Miltek and Blitz for me...cat backs anyway as the Miltek downpipe has had issues with cracking at the turbo flange

I had a Mongoose section 59 on my focus st and it sounded sweet, currently running a japspeed on the Scooby sounds good in the car but haven't let anyone run it past me yet to see what it sounds like outside the car

I've got a prodrive (as made under license by scorpion) on mine which is very good, but my favourite ever was on my Mondeo ST220, from jp exhausts:
http://www.jpexhausts.co.uk/
It sounded superb.

I've tried quite a few on the list and have always come back to Hayward & Scott .... comparing them to my current Milltek system it's surprising how cheap the Milltek is in looks and construction
