What these wheels chaps they concave out i need them for my car


And how much are these worth off mine no marks and red is only tape there 18" rotas

They'll be 9.5" wide in that pic. You'll need front spacers to clear the brakes with those wheels, camber bolts all round and aggressive camber to even have a hope of tucking them into the arches to pass an MOT.

 

The originals were based on the Volk TE37 Ultra

 

What i if change them for mot ?

 

What about roadside checks? If they stick out too far you'll get a fine and MOT order from the Police. Also be aware that there are legal limits on stretched tyres. They probably won't pass an MOT with excessive stretch and will certainly get you fines and points these days. Worth thinking about.

My cars have been running a slight stretch JUST within legal limits on the 8.75" wheels with enough camber tuck to make the car handle very well and be acceptable. You'll need masses of camber to run wheels like those which will massively compromise your road holding. If you're happy with show rather than go, then that's cool.

I love an aggressive wheel like that. Looks great in my opinion.

 

I just like the way they look so there would be noway to get them to fit like normal with no messing with camber and spacer etc

 

I'm in agreement with you, they look great but couldn't be dealing with the hassle of getting them on and the law etc.
Maybe that wheel but not to the extreme of the top pic ? Just flush with the arches with slight tyre stretch if needed would still look great.

 

I'm certainly not saying don't do it. At the end of the day it's your car and you can do whatever you want to it and make it however you like. To get "the look" your after you'll need the wheels, new tyres (very stretchy), new wheel nuts, spigot rings, coilovers, camber bolts all round, 10mm spacers up front to clear the calipers & a full 4 wheel geo setup once done. You may be fine on the MOT if they let it go. Just consider it won't be cheap all in.


I went for a slightly different wheel that meant I could run legal tyres and no spacers. But I also had to roll my rear arches as the wheels caught on these.

I didn't have a hatch I had a hawkeye until recently. However I've also done similar fitment now to my forester STI. I'm running an 8.75" wheel with 225/40/18 tyres. Got dish to it, not crazy and easy to live with daily.

 

Mines just a weekend car not daily use most of time on my own or 1 passenger

 

Just want to clarify. You can get and fit Rota Grids without any problems. However in the first image the Grids there looks like they have a large offset to give the big concave look, you would struggle to replicate this look however nothing stops you fitting grids in the correct size.

 

I had 9.5j et34 (iirc) in my bugeye with 225/40/18s (legal stretch) without too much trouble and that kind of concave look. Not sure on fitment on the hatch though.

 

Officially as of 2016 a car can now fail an MOT with stretched tyres. Which in some cases can bring a fine too and points on a licence. So just be careful.
