Honestly, our own rational resident comedian Boris is less known and talked about around the world than this irrational American clown. What an attention magnet!

Its the same old story though, all Republican potential presidents are made out to be thick. Reagan 'just an actor', GW Bush and his 'Bushisms' now Trump. The sneering by the left is part and parcel of the political game to them. I hardly judge Carter, Clinton and Obama as roaring intellectual successes....

He's an ideologue, pretty straightforward and fairly harmless; name the issue and I can tell where he stands on it.

Although his (apparent) support of Trump his mind boggling.

Any evidence for any of these claims? No, thought not. But that's your normal modus operandi eh? How "scientific"!

And still more Ad Hominen too!

Trump interviewed on CNN the other day...

COOPER: I've got to ask you about this back and forthbetween you and Senator Cruz about wives. After saying that you were going tospill the beans about Heidi Cruz, you retweeted an unflattering picture of hernext to a picture of your wife.

TRUMP: I thought it was a nice picture of Heidi. I thoughtit was fine.

COOPER: Come on.

TRUMP: I thought it was fine. She's a pretty woman.

COOPER: You're running for president of the United States.

TRUMP: Excuse me, I didn't start it. I didn't start it.

COOPER: But, sir, with all due respect, that's the argumentof 5-year-old.

TRUMP: No, it's not.

COOPER: The argument of a 5-year-old is “he started it.”

TRUMP: You would say that. That's the problem with ourcountry.

The electorate really do have such different outlook to here , for example.

the fundamentalist Christian vote for example just doesn't register here

its all about a personality battle in USA , and from now on , how much dirt you can drag up about your opponent

I wonder even , whether , they'll get onto actually policy discussions

That's the scary bit about Ted Cruz, at least Trump only pretends to be religious.

Even though I think he is a buffoon and that it would be dangerous for all for him to be elected, I can't help but have some admiration for his apparent passion for his country. I wish there was more of that within UK senior politicians.

You've got to watch this. It's a brilliant and very funny take-down.

John Oliver absolutely destroys the Trump myth...

That is just awesome, Martin. Fortunately most of my American friends and co-workers feel the same, apart from one co-worker and she is British!

If anyone wants to get away from the media hand-wringing about Trump and actually consider facts, Stefan Molyneux has a very worthwhile listen here:
