Ok my £180 impreza classic facelift track car is under way. Started stripping unwanted parts out and giving it a general clean. first big job is to get it totally stripped out including engine ready for repaint and get all the unwanted items on fleebay.

Can't find it mate. throw a pic on this thread, so i can see.

i am in the process of getting everything bodywork wise at the mo, so when i finally get it sprayed there are no bodywork mods to be made. don't want to paint it then make changes.

Ok so have got some more updates. Been busy taking everything out of the inside of the car i don't need then selling it to raise funds for the purchases. I want to keep the spend limited for now so this is the easiest way, but i am really happy with progress so far and i am amazed how little rust there is. The worst 2 areas appear to be inside the boot which is really surface rust and the front bar behind the bumper. some of the engine is starting to rust so will get that taken out soon and cleaned up, but need to fit the front mount first ready for spraying. I dont want to alter any of the bodywork after i have sprayed it.

[/IMG]

above is the inside totally stripped out. Just need to loose as much as the old wiring as poss now and start getting ready for repaint.

[/IMG]

above is where the back seats were and inside the boot. everything has gone.

[/IMG]

Above is the new center grill, but have cut the grill out today and i am going to keep it that way with maybe just some mesh. Will see how it looks.

[/IMG]

Ok so here is one that may not go down tooo well but i love them. I have been looking at the vents on my Focus RS and just couldn't resist. Still need fitting but think they will look the nuts. I am also thinking of removing scoop as it is fake. I may fit a sti scoop though and cut through, but not sure.

[/IMG]

new spoiler a bargain at £40 best buy yet i reckon.

I have also bought new bonnet pins and removed all the old bonnet catches.

I have bought fog light covers and i am going to remove fog lights.

I have also bought some universal wide arches which look great when fitted. I saw a scooby at Oulton Park the other week and it had them on and looked really good.

Might cut roof scoop down a bit as it seams to sit a bit high.

Everything has been loose fitted so far as i want to get everything preped and painted before final fitting.

Intercooler and splitter next i think.

These are the ones cliff. I am going to try and get them blended in so they look like part of the wing as appose to bolt on ones.

They are lovely!! The only issue with blending in arches I can see, is that Subaru wings are quite flexible and I can see filler cracking. What do you think?

Need to speak to the body shop to see what they reckon. Just would prefer them to be blended in if possible.

I think this is what i am going to aim to build. SO far so good all parts i have bought match.

I am not sure how to go about achieving the wheel base though. Wider wheels with spacers???? I havnt bought my calipers, disks or wheels yet. Any recommendations??

THey are canards. There are not on mine but i am going to fit them. YOu can get them on flebay but for what they are they are a bit expensive. I spoke to the bloke who owned the car on a track day a few weeks ago and he made them out of ali.
