yes saw them earlier. These will look ok, but not as good as the more exspensive ones, plus i think with time they will end up working loose. If you look at the better ones they have a bracket that runs the full length instead of just three fixing points. These will have a hell of a lot of air flowing over them!!

Hi bud, the lad who you were talking 2 at oulton with the lovely blue scooby in the picture above is a friend of mine, i was there too having a watch.
His canards are carbon fibre and for a newage car i think? He said they fitted o.k. Its the side skirts that are made of ally.
Think he put a video on you tube of a decent lap from that day if its of intrest.
If you want any help advice im sure i could ask him.

Thanks Tim. I did have a bit of a chat with him, but got the impression that he thought i was talking **it when i said i had one and was building one. His car is a nice car and hopefully with a lot of time and effort i can achieve something just as nice, defo took a lot of ideas from this car.

My m8 helped me no end with my track/sprint scooby so im sure he didnt mind chewing the fat with you at oulton!!
Although somebody had thrown a cone up into his nice new carbon splitter so prob not as chatty as normal.

Ok Wiring/ alarm etc...... I am thinking that in the next couple of weeks i need to get rid of any unwanted wiring as follows;

Rear electric window wiring
front electric window wires
Rear boot light wire
Driver and passenger seat belt sensor
Boot open sensor
All door sensors
Alarm
Imobiliser
hand brake sensor
radio wires
interior lighting wiring

How easy is this??? If i am honest i am not the best with electrics although i do have a go and havn't as yet destroyed anything. YET.

 

So today I have removed front bumper. Removed the really rusty bumper bar and bind it. Removed fog lights and altered and loose fitted fog light covers. Cleaned engine and engine bay but loads more of that to do. Altered one side of trailer ready for cutting down and welding back up. Removed front of trailer. Cleaned and sprayed both wheels on one side of the trailer. Altered front bumper removing number plate plastic box section and finally tidied up the centre grill trim above the bumper. Not bad for a days work.



And finally i have chosen a colour scheme. This allows me to not have re spray the whole car. I can keep the blus as a base and work from there. Engine bay justs wants touching up rather than engine removing and total re spray. Still not found much rust other than a bit of surface rust and the bumper bar which has now been bind well what was left of it anyway.
